how old is Ash?

there might of been threads about this before im new to the forums & i also searched but didnt find anything.. but anyway how old do you think ash is? the show came out in 1998 i think so that means hes been on it for 8 years. and when the show started he was 10 so that would been he would be 18 in the real world. but since theres 1 episode a week is that 1 day of his life? theres 52 weeks in every year times that by 8 and you get 416, does this mean hes only 11 since theres 365 days a year

Anyway, I'd have to say he's about 14/15 just based on the regions he's been in. Each region = 1 year
Kanto = 1
Orange Islands = 2
Jhoto = 3
Hoenn = 4
Kanto BF = 5
That should be 5 years But, the Bf doesn't look like it's taken that long so i'm not sure.

Ash may be 15 - 16 years old if I think logically. Because each advanture(Kanto, Johto, Orange Island, Hoenn....) duration is about 1 year. Until now, he's nealy 16.

^Not necessarily. In the 3rd Movie short Ash had a party because it was a 1 year reunion with Pikachu.

So I think that he might be 14, maybe 15.

I still think he's 10. Come on people, if you think Ash is 16 then Brock is 21 or 22, and Brock is definitely no older than 15 or 16. The anime is ageless, which is why absolutely no characters change their looks. In almost ALL anime.

I dont think a region takes a whole year, but I wouldn't say an episode is 1 day. I'd say it's been 3 1/2 years or so, maybe a little less, maybe a little more, so Ash is 13.
