How to beat and catch Snorlax at the Cycling Road?

I still don't know how to beat and catch the Snorlax. I used my Charizard in the battle against Snorlax. And then I tried Charizard's Flamethrower and hits him. But actually it used Rest to heal his HP points and fall asleep and wakes up a few minutes. I tried Charizard's attack again and it hits him again and then I used the Great Ball to catch Snorlax, but doesn't work. Is that any idea to beat and catch Snorlax in the Cycling Road?

Once Snorlax uses Rest to heal itself, it will Sleep for two turns. If you can attack it and get it to low health while it's asleep, and then throw a Great Ball while it's still Sleeping, you'll have a good chance of catching it. Otherwise, just be patient and keep attacking until you've got it's health down and it doesn't use Rest (it won't do it every time). You're bound to catch it eventually, if you keep bringing down it's HP and throwing Great Balls.

When he uses Rest, use a powerful move in the first turn, it's HP will get down, after that turn, use an Ultra or a Great ball and see if he goes in. You must be lucky too because it isn't that easy to catch that big thing.

Yeah,and if you have Thief,ahe will Sleep on the first time his using,and after yoyu catch(or defeat)Him us item finder under him too get Leftovers Yay free lefties.

Yeah, if that isn't working you can always try to put him to sleep by one of your pokemon's attacks and then throw Ultra and Great Balls at it. And yes, after you defeat the Snorlax stand right over where he/she was and use the Itemfinder. It will pick something up and viola, you get a free Leftovers.

use a good fighting type or fighting type move on him... he's week to that type. when he rests the second time (the first time he'll use a berry), try and get him into the red with the first move after he goes to sleep. then throw balls. Rest only lasts 2 turns so you have little time before he reawakes. The sleeping condition will up the chances to catch him and the closer he is to red, the easier it is to catch as well.

Find a Fighting Pokémon that has learned False Swipe. When Snorry uses Rest, use a Fighting Attack. Then, when Snorry is sleeping, use False Swipe. If you do this correctly, Snorry will now have 1 HP left and he is sleeping. Then, you have a chance to throw a Ultra Ball while Snor-Relax is sleeping. This is very effective when done correctly.

use a combination of a marowak with false swipe and a grass type with sleep powder and you should be able to catch it the snorlaxs will be a very big help if it has heat and cold protection for the elite for

that doesnt work i have tried that trick so many times

what i do is:

1. get a raichu at least Lvl 26 or higher and jigglypuff (with sing)
2.I use raichu's thunder wave,wait for a few seconds until snorlax uses rest(to make him waste the berry it has)
3.I attack it with thunderbolt until it gets low on hp.
4. i switch to jigglypuff and use sing(so it doesn't use rest)
5.i start throwing greatballs at it until I catch it.

*if it wakes up before you catch it put it back to sleep(or when he wakes up and uses rest ,then do the same thing again.(except no thunder waving)

Why is it so hard to catch Lax? it was easy for me.
