Nope, no cheat cart or anything needed - this is a genuine in-game glitch.

Good that it's in video form, so you can see how to do the trickyest best.

Anyway, so, you just stop, and choose POKeMON on the Start Screen? Is that all? I tried it before, didn't work for me...

No, you don't stop and press start, beause the trainer will pull you into battle before you can press it. You have to press it as you are moving, so the start screen pops up before the trainer spots you.

I'll put the first one into the sticky. Since the other is in Spanish, and is basicallly the same, I wont add it.

Anyway, everybody should probably have known the Mew trick by now. But I guess it's a good find in those videos in case someone doesn't know.

Anyways, the glitch does work, I tried it, it works, sweet, if you are noobish enough to think it dosen't? Fine by me, but it does work.

finally someone made a video. It was so hard to do it at first without the video, thank you. Yet a little late for me since I already had gotten mew like that, traded it over to gold, cloned it and now I have 3 mews in crystal.

Neat videos. Pretty well-done, and they'd be a good help to anyone who wants to do the cheat.

I restarted my Yellow ages ago just to get Mew through that cheat (I never knew about it the first time I played through) and it was totally worth it- traded it over to Gold/Silver and did some Cloning and training. So whenever I restart a game (which has happened more than once) I always trade over a level 7 Mew and train it throughout the game. I love showing it off to other trainers! XD
