How to catch Zapdos????

Okay I have been trying to catch Zapdos for over 2 hours. I get it so he only has a tick of life left, and is asleep, but he still breaks out of the ultra ball on either the first time or just before the ball "locks". Anyone have any tips on how to catch him??? ;078;

There is no "tips" on catching the legendary birdies. It's just luck (even though Moltres was caguth at a tick of HP and I sent out my Arbok, Intimidate worked and then it caught after a mountain of Ultra balls - seemed all I had to do was lower attack of Moltres)
