After three hours of figuring out, I got it working. I thought that I would post this for anyone else that might have a problem with AOL that is using the USB Wi-Fi connector.
Note: This is only compatible if you are using AOL Broadband. Not wireless AOL Broadband or Dial up.
1. Click Start and got to the Control panel

2. Choose Network Connections

3. Then choose create a new connection

4. A window like this should appear, click next.

5. Select Connect to the internet and click next.

6. Choose set up my connection manually and click next.

7. Choose connect using a broadband connection that requires a user name and password and click next.

8. Type AOL as your ISP name and click next.

9. Enter your AOL username and password, make sure the two boxes are checked and click next.

10. Check the box if you want a shortcut to the connection that you have just made, if you don't leave it blank and click next.

11. Uninstall the Wi-Fi USB connector.
12. Re-install it or just install it.
You have to actually uninstall and reinstall or install whilst the connection is active otherwise it won't work.
Now you should be able to connect to Wi-Fi and as an added bonus won't have to use the AOL software infact, if you do use it then Wi-Fi won't work whilst the software is open.
Hope this helps all AOL users if there are any having problems here.
