How would you arm yourself?

This. Imagine a Baton Pass chain with this. With so many evasion boosts, you can Baton Pass whatever you want. Imagine fighting against a Salamence, or a Metagross, or a Gyarados with +6 Attack, +6 Defense, +6 Special Defense, +6 Evasion, +6 Speed and Ingrain. You just can't counter it. Competitives battles would be reduced to endless chains and two last behemots waiting to see who manages to hit first (or, in the case of two Lucarios, seeing who uses Aura Sphere first).

Really, you can't just say that Double Team should be legal and that competitive battlers suck. You look like those who say that Wobbuffet shouldn't be Uber, or even those who say that non-attacking moves suck.

I would use a combo of Keen Eye, Haze, and Aerial Ace.
  3. sanjay120

    sanjay120 ?(???)?

sand attack/mud slap are legal, so keen eye is still worthless.

    hyperoffensive gravity team gogogogo!

Use a fast sweeper. I don't carry Haze with me.

wobbofet shouldn't be uber, and neither should garchomp

I thought this thread would be about "How would you arm youself without pokemon against Arceus?" But what were we talking about?

Because, of course, no matter how unbalanced a non-legendary Pokémon is, since it's not a legendary, it can't be uber.

Double Team would make the already powerful Baton Pass chains even better and almost unstoppable. You don't even need a chain if you have a powerful sweeper. Gliscor is a pretty tough tank, and with a Subsitute and some evasion boosts, you're not going to kill with with attacks that never miss (Aerial Ace? Does nothing. Aura Sphere? It resists it). Once you Baton Pass those evasion boosts, what are you going to do against a Salamence that you can't even touch?

Aerial Ace is pretty much the solution I use in the Battle Frontier too.

SpecsLuke would be much more common

I'd just pack my team with moves that always hit (Swift, Magical Leaf, Faint Attack, etc.). It would make it easier to counter Sand Attack.

    On topic:
I have always prefered haze and taunt to counter those strategies...and i do have pokemon with dt but i always ask if you would let me use em in a competitive battle.
    Off topic...
About competitive battlers being pathethic and paranoid...well just think of the terror some pokemon in gen II infunded.
    Go Smogon!! Go!!

    .::Escalator::. "GO TEAM BOOBIES!"

Sand Attack would be used to force switches, also Special Lucario, Togekax and Technician Scyther scoff at DT & Sand Attack.

A DD takes at least one turn to set up :/. I don't know what you're talking about.

    WynautQueen Pokemon Caretaker

I'd make sure to have at least a couple Pokemon with a STAB 100% accuracy move, probably depending on which DT/SA users ended up being most commonly used.

Doesn't Thunder in Rain also avoid all evasion problems? That being said it makes Gliscor even more obnoxious.
