How would you rank all of the shows leagues (gens 1-7) in terms of "prestige"?

When something like the PWC is meant to have more prestige but it can only manage 10k trainers from around the world. And, uh, we hardly see Ash battle that much.

When "participant" just means "expressed an interest in participating" as opposed to "passed a lengthy screening process that required traveling around the region in question", 10k is pretty low.
Hell, if those 10k are spread fairly evenly around the world, it's pretty unrealistic that Satoshi manages to bump into as many of them as he does. There shouldn't even be a guarantee of there being a single participant in all of Kanto.

Uuuhhh...I don't even remember that someone mentioned that the PWC had 10k participants. Even in the imagine explaining the ranks, the Poké Ball rank was 1000 and lower.

It was right there in ep 18 when they were explaining the PWC. There was 10k participants at the time that was continuously increasing.

I don't even consider the Alola tournament to be a real " league " so I wouldn't even rank it with the others. Same with the Orange Islands.

Think in terms of it'd be Kalos >= Sinnoh > Hoenn > Johto > Unova > > > Kanto

The point is, this PWC is never even reaching 30k participants, and it's not like it'll make any difference if it actually reaches that number because Ash is simply too close to the top anyway.

I forever had a feeling that Guzma was at or somewhere near the Power Level of Kukui. Guzma is to Kukui is what Volkner is to Flint, if you get what I mean.

For the reason of being the first league shown I would say the Indigo League is the most prestigious.
