Nintendo definately put alot of work into DP, you know with WiFi, and having like 463 some Pokemon catchable in game without any extras.....so don't say that they didn't bend over backwards at all...

But I forgot, since it doesn't have Kanto rehashed on it, it sucks. Amirite?

They bent over backwards on GSC, not so much on this game.

Johto was large enough...how the hell much bigger do you want it? The whole concept and ideas that were in GSC were amazing, just stop.

Ummm.....as I think being able to battle and trade with people all over the world, plus all of Johto's functions is pretty neat as well.

Oh, and Johto had none of those DAMN BABIES AND EVOS of oldies.!

The wireless thing is minor IMO it's what should have been in place as the next evolution of the trade feature...to think it wouldn't have been is just stupid.

There just aren't any new features in D/P at all gameplay wise that I think is revoultioary as GSC was, so many poteintal ideas. PokeHolidays, A Weather system...those are just off the top of my head, but hey you get "Super Contests".

We now have visible Gender Differences.

- Baby Pokemon

Johto Had:

- PokeGear Poketch pwns this. It is very cool
- Day/Night And they make it more diverse in DP
- Gender Same as above, now we have visual differences
- Two Regions So? I'd take my brand new region over a rehashed one that cuts into the size of new areas. Plus, we will probably get a Johto remake soon anyway.
- A continuous story from RBY I like the new story DP has, and it refers to GS events actually (Red Gyrados)
- Berry Attachments (the beginging of attachments) We now have more berries, and uses for them (Pofin)
- Your Room function to customize your own room Secret Bases are pretty much this, and other players can visit them.
- Pre/New Evo's of old Pokemon DP gave us evos of old ones that actually deserved them.
- Baby Pokemon Most people would see this as a bad thing

Seeing that there are many online games where you can pay real-world money for certain content, I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo decided to try this with Pokémon eventually. After all, even though the little kids can't use credit cards, they can get Mommy and Daddy to use them. I can see it now. =P
