This may sound weird, but have the evolution levels gone up in Emerald? In my RS guide, which never failed me before, It states that Vibrava evolves at level 42, shroomish evolves at 22 and so on. However, In my emerald game, Vibrava didn't evolve untill level 45, and Shroomish didn't evolve untill 23. T Those are the only two I have ound currently, so: Is my guide wrong, or has the bar been raised, or is my game glitchy?

no
maby it's because when the pokemon reaches the evo level it faints in te same battle (fainted pokemon can not evolve)

As far as I know Vibrava has always evolved at level 45. Not sure where you got the 42 or how.

Same goes for Shroomish on the same matter. Where did you get these lower level evolutions and in what game?

Oh, and your R/S guide is full of it, what brand is it cause you may need to return it for an accurate one.

You're dreaming lol, vibrava always evolved into flygon at level 45, maybe you you looked at another pokemons evolution level like aggron.
I think what happened was what eldes said.

I have a nintendo ruby/saphire guide and it lists the higher level evos.... you either misread, looked at the wrong pokemon, have a guide with typos, or have a guide written by some crazy person.

My Vibrava evolved at level 45, and my Shroomish at level 23.

I think your guide is a bit wrong.

When pokemon faint, they still evolve

I mean my collesium guide said that all the pokemon in the down under were 80 lv pokemon so I spend like I few months with my crappy training skills to raise them to the level. Guess what, they were ALL 60 Lvl Pokemon! Don't trust the guides.

Don't ever buy a guide, that's what the Internet is for. GameFAQs and similar sites have all the guides you will ever need.

guide books can be wrong, if you ever want to get a guide book make sure its the nintendo power one.
