hybrid pokemon

just like there are hybrids in real life, there could be hybrids in the new pokemon games. It makes sense.

Interesting idea, I have thought about it myself but it will never happen because it will make the game way too complicated and I doubt the creators would want to make a sprite for every possible combination of 2 Pokemon. Think about it, there are 386 Pokemon already, plus there are at least 9 in this new generation already. Sorry, but no.

Like a liger (lion + tiger) or a caama/lamel (O_O camel +llama). And a mule... Which is a horse and a donkey.

EDIT: Know that I think of it... a donkey/llama Pokemon would be nice.

It would only work if it could only happen between pokemon of 'related' species, say meowth and skitty, Jynx and Mime... for added realism there could be side effects, such as the baby can't be used for breeding, or is weaker/stronger...

no not like that. hybrids would only work for certain pokemon.

I've always disliked this idea. But I wouldn't mind if it were done well, like with only a couple of pokémon, say when horse pokémon breeds with flying pokémon they produce a baby pegusus pokémon that is only available through this method and goes on to evolve into a proper pegusus pokémon and not into either of its parent species. But let me stress that I would only want to see a maximum of two of these situations.

It would be way too much work for the teams, I mean they are already doing over 1000 sprites (male/female/shiny), hybrids would be too much.

no, why would they start with something like this now? it's complicated, and makes breeding harder, because of some hybrid Pokémon. and what if they would breed with another Pokémon, would we get a new hybrid?

The only Pokémon I could see having hybrids are the duo Pokémon (Plusle/Minun, Volbeat/Illumise, etc.). If every existing Pokémon, plus the new additions had hybrids, we probably have around 236,196 different kinds of Pokémon. Waaay too many.

Leave the hybrid thing to Digimon. It wouldn't make sense in the Pokemon world unless they were artificial or man-made.

A googd hybride will be a half Flareon half Vaporeon.
But not more then two.
Cause half espeon and half umbreon would be very cool...
