I tried to steal from them, but too many kecleon was around me, and unfortunatly my leader was an in-training Charzard at the time...

No. They just take 45 damage, but consider you cannot attack him with your regular attacks until you can get him to attack you, it does really do a decent amount of damage. I think they have at least 190 HP (b/c I have killed them in 1 attack if I do 195+ damage)

It seems like not only the moves of the Kecleon vary, but also their stats, as I was able to OHKO some that I was fighting at Mt. Blaze about 90% of the time with a regular attack, but I couldn't ever OHKO some that were at Wyvern Hill the same way.
