i cant beat it (pokemon ranger)

i cant beat entei the second time at the end of the game on pokemon ranger the flames around him wont disappear

I used a water assist on him, then carefully circled around him without touching the flames, eventually the flame disappeared and I could catch him normally (with my Minun)

@Topic starter: Get your partner gauge full, paralyze him and if you have use an Fighting assist, this will split the circles you need to do. If not, circle like crazy.
