I can't put pokemon from Fire Red into Pokemon Box.

I just got Fire Red of ebay and I wanna store some pokemon into Pokemon Box. I can't remember the error message I got, but it says something like, you need a pokedex. I've also finished Elite Four as well if this helps.

ok if you are using a game off ebay then its probably fake.(your not the first)
also if it is not a fake then,did you defeat teamrocket on the islands and talk to the proffeser oak after words???

i don't have the game myself but isn't it called pokemon Box:ruby and sapphire, this means that only ruby and sapphire will work with it

Haven't even seen one in person myself though.... Do you have the national dex? And do you have the same countries versions of box and GBA game?

yep your right, the ruby and sapphire part is the games that you can play. the game cart must either be fake, from a different region or something else i haven't thought of

You need at least 100 Pokémon in your Pokédex.

In the FR/LG instruction manual, it says that it is compatible with Pokemon Box: Ruby and Sapphire. And my LeafGreen is not fake, I got it from BestBuy. I think that since your FireRed is from eBay, its probably fake.

I worked it out. I got my podedex upgraded and did the Celio task. I can transfer pokemon from Fire Red to Pokemon Box, but need to get 100 pokemon before I can transfer any over.
