No, it's because the mew was caught abnormally, and something to do with the obedience index didn't register. If you want a mew that listens, you have to get one on Faraway Island. Just cheat your way to get there, because it won't work if you just hack one up.

Total rubbish it's beacuse the code you used was badly programed I have cheated for many differant pokemon and they all followed the normal rules.
There was a problem with the codes.
Though i would recomend going to faraway island any way just to see what you think of it

You can't get to Faraway Island legally. The only way to get a legit Mew is to have gone to one of the Toys R Us locations that was giving it away in September.
For the record, if you cheat to get Deoxys or Mew they won't obey and can't be traded, this is because of an extra bit of information Nintendo put into these two Pokemon that I'm assumine can't be duplicated when cheated.
Since the question is answered and discussions of cheating aren't allowed on the forums...
