Hello,

I don't know where to put this so, here it goes...
I'm rather new to this foum, but I'm not new at all to Pokemon. I've been playing pokemon games ever since I was 13...considering now that I'm 18, it has been a while.
I got bored a few days ago, and decided to come along to this site to see what was new...holy crap...I know that I've pretty much not played pokemon in a long time, and my favorite was Silver. Now that I see that Diamond & Pearl are having some likeness' to Silver it has gotten my spark again...but alas, I'm feeling rather awkward about wanting to play again...I absolutly hate the show, but the games (true pokemon games, not card game, or things like pokemon pinball...) were always so addicting. I guess it would make me feel better if I knew that somebody here might be able to relate...?

Getting Trainer Cards and custom sprites Well, here you can post in a request shop to get a trainer card like some of the members have here in their signatures. Make sure you look at what the shop specializes in, and then post your request if it's appropriate.

Adopt-A-Newbie Agency - for newbies to be adopted, or adoptees to adopt a newbie.. Adoption is for older members to help around the newer ones. The owner, Hegemon Locke Yggdrasill, is a loveable, outgoing guy so listen to him or be reported. Eefi is an assistant there, along with PhQnix, Eszett, and Jiraiya
Bishie Thread- This is a thread where you can go to claim anyone from an anime. The only rules are that you can only claim that person if they haven't been claimed yet. Meg-chan, Jenni, Manjyome,and Shadowfaith work there. there.
Cartoon Bishie Thread Well this thread is basically for those of us who can't settle for a normal bishie. Same rules as Bishie thread, but you can only claim characters from non-animes here. xXSapphireXx runs this thread.

The Cartoon is probably what bought the pokemon fad crashing down (back when everyone and their gran played red and blue) since the cartoons were so..childish? While the games were rated Everyone, the cartoon was more like 9 or under.
Anyways, I suggest you buy a couple of pokemon games while waiting for diamond and pearl. Pokemon emerald (set in hoenn - by your post, I'm guessing you didn't play past silver) and FireRed or Leafgreen (those 2 are great reamkes of red and blue, with new pokemon and other cool extras).

Yes, I actually owned Ruby, and Fire Red, and stopped for about 2 years after that. Mainly because my friend who used to play also moved on to college. I really want to get back into it again with Diamond & Pearl, but I just feel a little weird about it. I wanted to know if anyone else here could relate with me about this...being an...older...player, and still enjoying it.

Thanks alot for telling me! I used to be really into the gameboy games myself. I'll be trading in my gamecube + 5 or so games w/ memory card, and my nintendo SP with a few games to see if I can get some store credit soon for a DS.
I'm starting to get quite psyched up for Diamond & Pearl, how about ya'll?

I'm soon to start college (in a couple of months) and I'm trying to save for the nintendo Wii along with the pokemon game for it (smash bros. too!). How about any of you?
