Something about your banner looks completely off and ... well, unattractive... I think it's the oddity of the background, mixed with the understatedness of the text... It's almost weirdly embossed. I don't like it very much.

And Celeste...I was making a Vincent one...BUT MY PHOTOSHOP CRASHED! And I wasn't able to redo the same effect, so I gave up
