How do I hook up emerald to play on the gamecube?

You buy the Nintendo Gamecube/Gameboy link and then you attatch the cord through one of the controller spots and then you either play with Colloseum or XD

Just buy the Gamecube/Gameboy Advanced link cable.
You control the game with Gameboy Advanced.

But playing on the tv is the part that confuses me. I have the link cable and a gamecube but I can't get them to work so that I play my emerald on the tv

You can't with out the player unless you just want to battle XD or Collo then you just hook it up and you can battle
EBgames/Gamespot about 50-70$

No they are quite a bit, but IMO it is not worth if you have a gameboy already, unless you want to trade from R/S/FR/LG to Emerald or vice versa
