my question .....CAN YOU TRADE WITH RUBY/SAPPHIRE?

Do you mean Emerald to Ruby/Sapphire? Yes you can.

Calm And Hyper
You CAN trade between emerald and Ruby and Saphire but only pokemon you Can normally get on emerald (until you get the national dex)
