i hear alot about.............

i hear alot about "how do i catch mew?" or "how do i catch celebi?"well im clearing it up NOW you CANNOT get celebi in fr/lg and as far as mew goes i really dout you can get him but i am testing EVERY SINGLE WAY that people say you can get mew but i havent got him yet if you heard a way to get mew ill test it thank you -evan

I'm with Evan on this, you can only get Celebi from JAA and the Japanese version of G/S/C, and you can only get mew on Emerald with the Old Sea Chart.

So the mew trick doesn't work in FR/LG? Has anyone tested it or did we all just assume GF took it out? Is it possible they were stupid enough to leave it in still? I assume they did take it out.

I'm not trying to flame you or anyone else but are there really people who think that still works? They re-did the game not converted the data. In fact converting the data might of just made it an even bigger glitchy mess. Hm...sounds slightly fun...

Anyways I do think that there should be more ways to obtain these Pokemon because alot of good people here have actually resorted to cheating to obtain them. At least we can finally get Celebi through the JAA, for a limited time only (great now I sound like some commerical)

Seriously, too many people ask too much on Mew. He's not even that powerful(but he's okay nonetheless). Well, at least the questions are going to be cleared now.............(do not use AR or other cheating devices!!).

Of course it doesn't work on F/L. Don't you think nintendo would be smart enough to get rid of one of the more widely used glitches in the original game?

dont refer to people as noobies (that is pretty noobish)
and why should this be closed, you should have a reason at least. but on topic, this is true. and i have seen a lot of things on the glitches in in r/b/y working in fr/lg. it is really annoying to see people believe those things.

It's degrading to call them noobies or newbies........It is like racism and I don't like it!

im gonna make sure for a fact that you cant get mew so if youve heard of any ways to get him ill test it to prove its wrong

No need. Any crazed up way to get Mew on FR/LG is fake. People will know this but still try to make up insane lies that are hardly believeable....I wonder what the heck those kind of people see in doing that o_O

I've tried one of the Mew glitches myself from R/B/Y on Leafgreen(the one where you fly to Cerulean right before the gamer (or whatever their title is) sees you on the route to the left of Lavender town, battle the youngster with the Slowpoke on the route with Bill's house on it, fly to Lavender Town, go to the route to the right, the start menu will pop up on its own, and Mew will appear). It doesn't work... (Of course I'm not even sure if it works on R/B/Y because I don't have them)

there are so many rumors about how to get mew its rediculious but some make sense like this one i heard first you get mew2 then beat the elite 4 12 times and mew will be where mew2 is i also heard another just like that except it says mew runs wild in cereulan cave then, i heard one beat the elite 4 5 times fly to saffron go to the poke center oak wil be there battle him and if you win hell give you mew then, the last one i heard after you beat the elite 4 oak will challenge you to a battle if you win he gives ya mew if ya lose he gives ya celibi they all make sense but are ALL BOGUS

Yeah...basically everyone else said everything that needs to be said. There is NO way to get Mew or Celebi on any of the games using any kinds of "secret codes" or whatever. The only ways to get these Pokemon are detailed in the FR/LG FAQ.

Trying every "cheat" you see in every website on the internet is just going to waste a LOT of your time. :/
