Hi, im Kevin and im 15.
I used to like pokemon alot.
When i was 12 orso stopped plaing the games and did not buy card anymore.
But in the summer vacation, i began to replay Pokémon gold, this is one fine game i tell you.
So today i bought Pokemon ruby for 47.95 euro, also i saw Pokemon firered at 44.95 euro, but as i own Pokemon red, i got ruby.
So i ask you.
I catched a few pokemons i wonder if there any good.

I got torchic at lvl 10
Zigzagoon lvl 6
Wurmple lvl 5
And Ralts also lvl 5.

Wich should i keep, and wich should i catch (im in route 102)

Torchic and Ralts are two you should keep. Torchic evolves into Combusken, giving it the fighting type, which evolves into Blaziken, a good pokemon. Ralts evolves into Kirlia into Gardevior, which is really good, but since Ralts only has Growl, you'll have to level it up to around the same as torchic. Wurmple isn't that good, and neither are Silcoon, Beautifly, cascoon and Dustox. zigzagoon isn't good, neither is Linoone. But their ability, Pickup, comes in handy.

Hey kevin, lol i'm 15 too, just recently got back into my pokemon routes too, I have both ruby and saphire. Id disagree, zigzagoon has a very useful abilty it picks up items like rare cady and nugget wich are really good random items to pick up. Linoone its evolution it one of my favorates.

well i have pretty much the same story as you! I left pokemon early, and suddenly come back. I have LG, FR and E. I am also 14. Well anyways It's up to you. as you carry on im sure u will learn about EVs IVs etc etc But this maybe a bit to early

Also in my opnion if you want to ease through the game, catching a slakoth which is rare in petalburg woods at the start of the game, later evolves in slaking which is very good. This should make it a bit easier etc.

keeping torchic and ralts would be good...and zigzaggoon's ability can help you out a little...by the way,im 13 and i started playing pokemon since 8 years old and till now,i never lost interest in pokemon!

So, my journey as a Pokémon fan started when I was 11.

You're playing Ruby, right? I think you should try Seedot. It's not the overall best of Grass types, but because of type variety you could take it. It's both Grass and Dark type once it evolves.

I just caught slakoth, but he only seems to attack ever 2 turns, is this normal?
PS:
Should i get pokmon box, i can get i out of the star catalog.

slakoth's truant nature makes it loaf around every other turn as a slakoth and a powerful slaking though it's middle evolution does not loaf around.

I strongly recommend pokemon box as you can get certain pokemon with moves they are unable to learn in the games, like a swablu with false swipe and a pikachu with surf if you fill up the entire cartridge. Pokemon box also helps rid of the cluster that can build up in the game without the need to release pokemon.

mmm yeah slakoths are... good but louf aroud wich is a pain. pokemon box is pointless! but i want it.......

I'd say catch a Shroomish in petalbyrg woods. It evolves into a grass/fighting type and is v good for the start of the game. Oh,and a taillow would be handy for the second gym leader (fighting types)
