I just replaced my pokemon emerald battery, do I need to start a new game for the time-based events?

Hi there,

I've read that even if you change the battery, this doesn't trigger the time-based events to start again, and that I need to start a new game for them to do so. Does anybody happen to know if this is correct? Thank you.

The quickest way is to restart the game, as the new Save file will reset the clock and get it in sync.

While Possible, You could wait until the clock in in sync with the save file, but that could take years before the clock before that could happen.
