The writers did all that they could with the character so they removed her from main cast into supporting cast who crops up occassionally. Simple as that

Misty is no more than a Tracey character now, left after their time was passed. To speak the truth Misty really should of left in Johto but you know the writers :/

Well at least she gets most of the specials now, like she has more Hoso's than any Character, well her and Butch and Cassidy I guess

Well Misty is coming back for 3 episodes in the U.S. very shortly as well as getting an entire special (with Prof. Oak and Mew) on April 29th.

That's the last time you'll see Misty for a long time however. The Japanese writers are pretty indifferent to her at this point.

Topic's been done to death. >_> You should know by now that Kasumi was absolutely useless by the time Jouto rolled around. She did nothing but sit in the background, support Satoshi with cheering during his battles and caught a couple of Pokemon. Nothing big.
