Life doesn’t end, …it changes.
At least we get to have a proper and respectful send off for Ash and Pikachu. Remember when Rica had Covid and a few people speculating that it wasn’t Ikue, Pikachu’s voice actress leaving that would affect the anime, but Rica, Ash’s voice actress. We’re blessed to finally be able to say goodbye before Ash becomes completely stale or overused more than he has. I’m grateful we had the experience of growing up with him and seeing him progress and learn. He’s had a rollercoaster of a journey. I’ll miss him a lot.

I know a LOT of people don't like Ash, but I've been watching the entire anime in order (for about 3-4 years now), and I can say that I'm going to miss him. He is an intriguing character to me. He fell on his face multiple times over, but he eventually became the world champion. He always kept pushing forward no matter the circumstance. Ash, Pikachu, and the Pokemon anime as a whole is what got me into Pokemon to begin with.

It's really sad to see him go. I would've loved it if they would've given him some awful reason to do to Paldea, but in reality, there isn't too much they could do with the character anymore without describing the goal of a 'Pokemon Master' as I don't think there's anything that can prove to be a real challenge to him at this point.

The only thing I want now is for the Pokemon anime to describe what being a Pokemon Master is, and have Ash be that Pokemon Master.

Here's hoping that the S/V anime is just as good, but Ash will always be in my heart. I hope they still acknowledge Ash Ketchum day, or even give him a few cameos here and there.

Well. I've been crying all morning. I've been on this forum for literally 14+ years now, and the debate on whether Ash is leaving has come and go more times than I can count on one hand and it's finally happening.

Ash and Pikachu's journey began the year I was born so to finally see it come to an end in just a couple of months is heartbreaking.

Ash Ketchum and Pikachu are the dual-mascots of Pokemon, unless the writing somehow pulls a 180 I don't see how the anime can improve from here. Ash and Pikachu were never the problems with the anime, the writing was. I don't think Journeys is even deserving to be his final series, he stayed pretty stagnant as a character with little development and then won a world championship.

Thanks for all the memories, Ash & Pikachu! Truly. They were my childhood and they will always hold a special place in my heart.

What makes this stranger for me is that I'll be leaving to settle in a new country for the first time literally just a day before Ash's last series starts.

For something so intertwined with my childhood, it's strange to see that we've both completed this chapter of our life at the same time and start our next chapter together. For me, it's a new home and a new job whereas Ash can finally move towards a more realistic goal or continue down the same path, for whatever it means to be a Pokémon Master, even in offscreen land.

Thank you Pokémon and thank you Ash! Don't know how invested I'll be with the new series and characters but I hope the next generation will enjoy it just as we all did!

Why are you acting like the writers hate her? Misty has more appearances than the rest of the Pokegirls. She’s been shown in some way, shape, or form. She appeared in AG and the openings, appeared in a DP opening, Ash used the Misty lure in DP a couple of times, she appeared in BW in a flashback, she didn’t appear in XY, Misty appeared in not just SM but was in the I Choose You! end credits and Mewtwo Strikes Back movie, and with most appearances, she was given something new or a decent role unlike Dawn who shows up for support.

And this is coming from a May fan. I’m beyond dehydrated as far as seeing her.

bet fans will write letters to the creators to give ash a proper ending like fans of hey Arnold did to get the jungle movie and as a cartoonist and fan I feel like maybe there might be more for ash beyond champion and a 11 episode mini series might not be enough for a proper conclusion. Also remember when Goku retired after gt and came back years later . This might happen to ash like how Alex Hirsch said when he wrote the last episode of gravity falls that he was done telling the pines family's story for now. Ash might come back one day. believe it!
