I think I can actually post a team now! (Pearl Version)

It's been taking me a while to get into the new Pokemon games... (like raising new Pokemon, I mean), but I finally have some new lv.100 Pokemon. This team is ingame (for now...), so here it goes:

445-f.png

(F)Garchomp (Jolly Nature) @Life Orb...? **Guava
EVs: 252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 Hp
-EQ
-Dragon Claw
-Swords Dance
-Stone Edge

Meh... the last slot is kinda hard to decide. I've seen Fire Fang and Crunch being suggested...

482.png

(U)Azelf (Timid Nature) @... **Beta
EVs: 252 Sp.Attack, 228 Speed, 30 Hp
-Psychic
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-N/A. It has Uproar right now... :(

For the last slot, I'm stuck between Energy Ball, Thunderbolt, or Shadow Ball. :/

477-f.png

(F)Dusknoir (Impish Nature) @Leftovers **Midnight
EVs: 252 HP, 58 Attack, 96 Defense, 104 Sp.Defense
-Shadow Punch
-Pain Split
-WoW
-Seismic Toss

This was the exact same Dusclops I used in Emerald version... and she got me through some long battles. Anyways, the EVs are probably messed up or something, but there's not much I can do about that now. :/

208-f.png

(F)Steelix (Impish Nature) @Leftovers **Shred
EVs: 220 Hp, 94 Attack, 196 Defense
~Trait: Sturdy~
-EQ
-Rock Slide/Stone Edge
-Toxic
-Rest

Bleh... she might need new moves. :< I can't do anything about the EVs either. They're already done. Would Skarmory be a better choice here? I could go with:

227-m.png

(M)Skarmory (Impish Nature) @Leftovers... **Ukulele
EVs: help please.
-Drill Peck
-Rest
-Stealth Rock
-Toxic/Roar

or something. I dunno yet.

378.png

(U)Regice (Calm Nature) @Leftovers **Blocko
EVs: I'm stuck. :<
-Ice Beam
-Thunderbolt/Thunder
-Thunder Wave
-Rest

Focus Bomb? Maybe? I have a Calm Regice ready to go, but I haven't trained it yet, so EVs and move suggestions are needed.

257-m.png

(M)Blaziken (Lonely Nature) @Salac Berry **Daren
EVs: 252 Speed, 200 Attack, 58 Sp.Attack
-Flamethrower
-Rock Slide
-Sky Uppercut
-Swords Dance/Shadow Claw?

I'd like some sort of mixed sweeper...

Well... that's what I'm thinking so far. :/ Please RMT.

cool, rating a staff members team...
I would use fire fang on chomp.i'm w/ you on Azelf(shadow ball probably).Maybe an elemental punch over seismic toss on Noir.Sorry, i cant help w/ skarmory, steelix, or Regice(im not a defensive set writer). Stone Edge works over Slide, and Night Slash works over Shadow Claw....Why lonely?

Ahhh You Are You Useing A Legendary Ahhhh Take It Out And Use Another Psychic

^If you're referring to my "no ubers" message in my sig, then you're not getting it. (I'm sorry if that sounds rude...) Azelf is not an uber. Just legendary. Same with Regice.

Anyways, I only see Fire Fang on Garchomp working for one purpose, and that purpose is Skarmory. Stone Edge will be super-effective against Ice types. But... if you can think of a few more reasons, I'll think about it. :/

Lonely for Blaziken because he has Flamethrower. I guess I could raise another Blaziken though... :/

Roost! That's what I was thinking of for Skarmory. ^__^;

As for my Azelf, it's Timid. I can't get another one. :/

Gyro Ball sounds like a good option for Steelix...

Why did you suggest Fire Fang/Crunch instead of Stone Edge on the second Garchomp set? (I'm just wondering)

Cyl3x

I like Pink o.o;
I prefer reversal Blaziken, but since there are to many sandstreamers, That's pretty okay. A mixed Sweeper would be:

Blaziken@Life Orb/Salac Berry
Hasty Nature
Evs: 252 Speed, divide rest between Atk and SAtk
-Flamethrower
-Hidden Power [Ice/Grass]
-Brick Break/ Sky Uppercut
-Rock Slide/Stone Edge

I'm not entirely sure, but this could work.

Shadow Ball on Azelf.

Skarm = better than steelix. 252 HP, 52 Atk, 192 Def for Skarmory's EVs.

Try maybe ice punch instead of shadow on Dusknoir to kill the dragons.

Thunderbolt on Regice, 252 HP, 128 SAtk, 128 SDef.

I hope I helped. I'm REALLY not sure about the mixed sweeper set. If you are willing to try it, let me know :D

Fire Fang is for Skarmory. After a Swords Dance, I think Fire Fang does about 50% damage to it, more than a Stone Edge would do (without a CH).

I like Crunch better than Stone Edge because of the accuracy. Using Crunch after a Swords Dance will do tons of damage anyways.

Im really getting tired of Gallade master and the Uber comments, especially since you arent using any, and this is ingame. who cares.Your right, Stone edge will suffice.Brave Bird is another option on Blaziken. I know nobody uses it, but it just makes it more interesting.
I use:
Blaziken@choice Band
Adamant/Jolly
Flare Drive
Sky Uppercut
Brave bird
Night Slash
It just looks so cool...

Dark Lord
I personally think that a Metagros could perform better than that Steelix.
Your Garchomp can have Crunch. Azelf can have: Nasty Plot, Thunderbolt, Psychic and Flamethrower.

Frost Nova

The predator awaits.
Shall I?

Garchomp@Life Orb
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Dragon Claw
- Fire Blast

Your bog standard SDchomp, with all the works. Fire Blast 2KOs Skarmory no matter what, but you can use Crunch and Leftovers if you want something that will hurt Cresselia, who walls Garchomp quite effectively. Or you can go with CBchomp or CSchomp (depending on what you want).

Garchomp@Choice Band / Scarf
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Crunch
- Fire Blast

Outrage with physical STAB hurts. A lot. Especially with Choice Band. Stone Edge / Crunch are really filler moves, considering you will be dishing out enough pain to your opponents with Outrage and EQ alone.

Azelf@lefties / Life Orb
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Psychic
- Flamethrower
- T-Bolt / Grass Knot / Explosion

The last move depends on what you want to counter: Explosion even with a Timid Nature is a lot of fun when Blissey switches in. Grass Knot hurts Swampert and other heavy bulky waters.

Dusknoir@lefties
Careful Nature
- Shadow Sneak / Punch
- Fire Punch
- Will-o-Wisp / T-Punch
- Pain Split

Too bad he doesn't have a decent physical STAB: Fire Punch is more useful considering you can hurt steel types and Heracross with it. T-Punch is for Gyarados, as 4th gen is a dangerous place to be playing with fire. The ReSTalker moveset is more like Fire Punch / T-Punch / Rest / Sleep Talk IMO.

Steelix@lefties
Impish / Relaxed Nature
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge / Gyro Ball
- Stealth Rock
- Roar

If you're thinking about using Gyro Ball use a -Spd nature on Steelix to achieve maximum benefit. Roar acts as a form of pseudohazing as well. Toxic works fine too, but whatever you do don't use Rest. 4th gen is far too risky to use Rest without Sleep Talk because a lot more stuff can set up on you when you're asleep.

Skarmory@lefties
Impish Nature
- Drill Peck / Brave Bird
- Spikes
- Whirlwind
- Roost

I don't see the point in having this and Steelix on the same team, considering they basically perform the same functions. Brave Bird is suggested so when you ever need to attack, you can hit them harder.

Regice@lefties
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 SAtk
Calm Nature
- Charge Beam
- Ice Beam
- Rest
- Sleep Talk

Charge Beam is great on Regice, especially with ReSTalk.

Blaziken@Choice Band / Scarf
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Sky Uppercut
- Stone Edge
- Brave Bird
- Overheat

Unfortunately Infernape outclasses Blaziken in everything but Baton Passing (which it can't do) or Reversaling (which it doesn't even learn).

hey frost since when did steelix learn drill peck.

Frost Nova

You know what I'm talking about, so don't try and be smart.

I appreciate the help. As I said in my first post, I wasn't if I should use Steelix OR Skarmory. That's why I posted both. :/

My Garchomp doesn't have the best Sp.Attack however. And I don't see Skarmory being a threat ingame... but as I also said, I might use this as a competitive team. Would Fire Blast really come in handy even though her Sp.Attack is in the 100s?

I think I will get rid of my Dusknoir's Seismic Toss for Fire Punch. She could actually do something to a Steel type that way...

My entire point for putting Blaziken on my team was for a mixed sweeper. Are there any good Mixed Sweepers that could replace him? (Magmortar comes as an idea first...)

I think you should use Skarmory rather than Steelix because it has a lot of resistances, and has no Physical Weaknesses.

If you are going to use Swords Dance or only play Ingame, you should use Fire Fang on Garchomp. Otherwise use Fire Blast for Skarmory.

If you use RestTalking Dusknoir, you should replace Seismic Toss for Fire Punch. If you aren't, I personally think you should use Seismic Toss.

For Mixed Sweepers there is Infernape:

Infernape @Life Orb
Hasty/Naive Nature
-Flamethrower
-Grass Knot
-Close Combat
-Stone Edge/U-Turn

and there is Magmortar:

Magmortar @Life Orb
Mild/Hasty Nature
-Flamethrower
-Thunderbolt
-Cross Chop
-Will-o-Wisp

and my favorite, Electivire:

Electivire @Life Orb/Expert Belt
Hasty Nature
-Thunderbolt
-Cross Chop
-Earthquake
-Ice Punch

I suggested Expert Belt only on Electivire because it is Super Effective against 13 types (Dark, Dragon, Electric, Fire, Flying, Grass, Ground, Ice, Normal, Poison, Rock, Steel, and Water). That and the ability Motor Drive is why I think it is the best. Also, if you use Skarmory on your team, you might be able to draw some Electric Moves to it. Switch out at the right time, and Motor Drive will be activated.

Steelix does a decent job countering T-Tar and Weavile though, and having immunity to Electric isn't bad either.

Stone Edge could be an option over Fire Blast on Garchomp if you don't want it, seeing as how half the competitive teams I've seen have Gyarados somewhere in them. And Crunch if you want to take on Cresselia / Uxie / Mesprit switch ins.

Infernape > Magmortar. Electivire is useful if you already have something to lure in Electric attacks *coughGyaradoscough*

T-Punch > T-Bolt on Vire so you don't have to split the EVs. Milotic and Suicune are 2KOed by T-Punch, same case for Skarmory (if it's stupid enough to stay in). The only thing you hit harder with T-Bolt is Weezing (and you shouldn't be staying against this guy either).

Electivire@Life Orb / Expert Belt
Trait: Motor Drive
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- T-Punch
- Ice Punch
- Cross Chop
- Earthquake

Infernape doesn't sound like such a bad idea. o_O I think I might do that. It's a shame it isn't nearly as cute as Blaziken... :( (imo)

Anyways, the last slot for Azelf is still up in the air. >_>;

And if anyone would be so kind, what's a good Torterra MS? I might put one somewhere since it is a great Pokemon...

I'd go with T-Bolt on Azelf. And concider Ice Beam instead of Flamethrower.
