Leaving SPPF! G'bye!
Why cant you get all pokemon without cheats or nintendo event? I live in sweden and have never cheated or visited NE.
I want a Jirachi, not because of its power or rareness, but because i like it. The answer cant be "they are too powerful"
because Mews stats is lower than Mewtwos!

Yeah, Nintendo makes money. I think if you want to get a special legend for D/P you have to buy a complete new game where you only get this legend and have to send it to D/P. I hate it, ´cause I really like Mew, Celebi or Jirachi!

yes, this is all a big scam for nintendo to make money. thats why u couldnt get all the pokemon in ruby and sapphire, so nintendo could make a bunch of other pokemon games (colloseum, FR, and LF) just so people could get all the pokemon.

Yes it is marketing. The only way Nintendo can make you spend more is by spliting some pokes here, some over there, and a couple in that other place. Its been like that since the R/B/Y days. Also its way of making friends and helping others by something we all know as trading. You meet someone with a diferent version than yours, you trade pokes, and you now have a new friend...

it's for marketing, but I say that Nintendo wants to annoy the hell out of its customers and its works! (for me at lease)

I understand the financial reason, however in many countries such as Turkey, there are not any place we can get these pokemon. Therefore, nintendo does not gain money by celebi-mew-jirachi in many countires, but only fans can not get their favorite pokemon. Hopwfully Wi-fi will solve this problem.

No avatard plz
I think it's a good idea. I would have doen the same thing with more games and pokemon. And I would have slowly introduced each generation. Slower than they are now. Than, get groups of people to spread info and how good some products are and sell them all at one time.

So, nintendo is doing good.

The only ones I've been able to get without cheating were Celebi on my Silver version (Got it at a Pokémon thing at Six Flags a few years ago) and Jirachi (I pre-ordered Colloseum). A lot of times, the events aren't near me, so I can't go to them unless I buy an expensive plane ticket, which isn't worth it just to get something on a video game.

Well, I'm going to buy a game shark to get them.
It can't really be considered cheating if there's no other way.

Using a GameShark or Action replay can screw up your game, though. They're nice to have, but you don't need them and it's not worth having your game screwed up.
