anwayz down to buisness... In the corner of the screenshot their was a pic of some trainer and a pikachu, perhaps we will have him as an avater in the game, we could train our pokemon and then use them in competiotions (like a cross between battle frontier and stadium with more grass) what do you guys think?

I'm sure our custom character is our avatar, and yes hopefully it is a cross between stadium and BF. Maybe we can get Battle Points for rare berries and items

I wonder, if we could actually make out trainers lefty of righty. I'm tired of seeing only right handed pokemon trainers. Its almost like discrimination of leftys

Don't get me started on lefties! I'm a lefty and proud! I agree with the above though, but it would be cool since I'd rather it be left.

As for the actual topic this is going to be awesome, but I still want some form of story, or something to accompany the battles like an actual purpose for the tournament etc.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: put a story mode and a Stadium like game together ffs, or at least have one of each at least. I hope the next one for the Wii is an rpg. Looking on the bright side if that is their plan (to release one game like Stadium, and one like Colo/XD that is) then at least it gives the Wii plenty of time to turn black, and be in the pre-owned section in stores like Gamestation, hurray :) I wasn't going to get the game right away anyway, I was going to wait for the above to happen. Diamond, Pearl, Ranger and probably the DS version of Mystery Dungeon will keep me going. And if there are lots of different battle-modes (like Emerald's Battle Frontier), BR may still get bought yet.

Back on topic. Yey for customizable characters, lets hope it is in the rumoured second Wii game too.

there is a rumored gmae. But I really hope we can change the way we throw it. I'm sick and tired of not seeing lefty Pokemon Trainers. Same in the Anime

Yeah, that's how it tends to be in pretty much any work of fiction unless there's a major collaborator who's left-handed. (That's the case with The Simpsons--Matt Groening's a lefty, and so is Bart Simpson.) The only anime I've ever known to have left-handed characters are FLCL (Haruko) and Hunter x Hunter (Shuzuku).

Yeah, I'm a lefty. It'd be really cool to have an option for orientation...though I'd say it isn't necessary, since people can throw with either hand. If there was something like writing letters to attach to Pokémon, and you actually see the character writing it, it might matter.
