Squirtle had too much spotlight in the BF. It's kind of given that it will get eventually dropped. And May needs space for new pokemon.

Munchlax is a D/P pokemon! there is a 2% chance that it won't go with her to Shinou

Personally, I'm a little torn between wanting Squirtle to stick around and wanting Squirtle's keister kicked to the curb.
On one hand, it has the potential to become a much better addition to Haruka's team if it sticks around during a couple of Shinou portions. Of course, I'm refering to it evolving here. Not only would it look more fitting on a contest team than Squirtle does, but there's a stronger chance that it's victories will turn out to be much easier to swallow.
On the other hand, it's one of the more irritating pokémon that's glued to the current cast's roster, and causes nothing but arguments whenever it does anything that portrays it in a positive light. There's both this and the fact that it can be replaced by a pokémon that's far more interesting, both personallity and battle-wise.
I'd say...have it stick around Shinou for the first 52 episodes or so, in which it will evolve at some point. Perferably about 10 or so episodes into the region. Then have it participate in one or two contests, before convieniently having it dropped off with Norman n' Co. at the end of it's run. That way, it's perfectly ripe for Grand Festival usage if Haruka doesn't decide to stick with a single set team again. Give the girl a little more variety this time.

yah tahts what i was thinking, shes going to dump squirtle with her bulbasaur, skitty and beautify. BUT eventually maby like 20 episodes in get bulbasaur, squirtle back and send munchlax home. O yah and somtime maby in a contest when she uses skitty it will evolve but then stay at home with beautify and munchlax. Her final team will be combuskin, wartortle, ivysaur, eevee evolution and two new pokemon
