Idea for Netbattle

I was thinking that I could have a tournament with all however many pokemon there are now. Here's how it works:

-All battles will be one on one, and the movesets will reflect that (Meaning no Spikes, Baton Pass, Roar, and the like).

-All movesets and EV distribution will be determened by me.

-All pokemon will be divided up first by type (Dual types are in one division), then by evolutionary level. The winners of the evolutionary divisions will then fight each other to determine the best of that type. All brackets will be double elimination (to minimize the chance of luck playing a factor).

-After the best of each type is determened, they they'll face each other, again in a double elimination.

-The battles will be in Netbattle (both sides by me), on a private server. I'll be keeping track of the brackets on pencil and paper.

So, do you think the idea could work, or do you think it's dumb?

It's a good idea, but I personally think you won't get many people wanting to participate. (as you havn't got a reply here for 5 days, but maybe that's just because this is just a 'left out' forum by most).

There are no participants. I was planning on doing the whole thing myself, and giving you updates. But if you really want to help out, I can probably think of a way that you can

Because I want the strategies to be my own. And part of the strategy is choosing the right EV's

I've been wanting to do this ever since the G/S/C era. And now I finally have the means to do so.

Almost all. I may disqualify a few pokemon (Wobbufett, Smeargle, and Wynaut are three of them) for various reasons. And I'll be controling both pokemon.

I reckon that you should have a winner for each category. Such as a winner of the 'stronger Pokemon category'. This could be with all Pokemon that have a base stat total equal or higher than Agrron's. Just a suggestion.

This project is large enough as it is. I may try that after I finish up with this
