Anyway, now that D/P are right around the corner we can expect that Ash will head there after the BF arc is completed.

If Satoshi-tachi were to go to the Orre region, the time he's spent in the Battle Frontier Saga would have been the time to do it. With D/P just around the corner, there's no point.
Also, the game mechanics might get a little conplicated in the anime. Especially with it being "okay" to steal Pokemon 0_0 [Team Rocket would have a field day]
