Not really, Ash is just following the stereotype for many shonen boys in anime. Guys are always oblivious to girls until the last minute.

May or Misty are the most likely choices, since they're the girls he interacted with the most in his run. I'd prefer him to end up with May, since the writers are apparently trying to drive the point home that she's just like him.

I think, despite what anyone else may think, that he'll end up with Callista. They seemed to get along very well, and they look so cute together.

Firstly, age difference. Second, neither is a romantic like Misty was at times. And may I remind you that Ash is unlikely to take interest in girls until he's about twenty. It's obvious his mama didn't have that little chat with him about the birds and the bees.
