If max had a pokemon for real....

What would it be, I would think Ralts, or Poocheyena, cuz tho polar oposites to each other he has befriended both poke in the anime, whats your oponions for maxes first pokemon

Sceptile-He said he believes treecko is the best starter

Ralts-I imagine Ralts being like Ash's pikachu, and never going in a Pokeball or evolving. So, yeah. Stay a Ralts, too. It fits Max the most.

Mightyena-The Poochyena he befriended early on.

Jirachi-He meets Celebi, and through a flux in space-time, goes into the time he befriended Jirachi and stops him from entering the cocoon so he can have him. Even though, withbout the cocoon, he can't grant wishes.

Deoxys-Yeah, that's a stretch. The Deoxys from the Ranger episode comes back and joins him. Heh, two Legendaries now.

Most likely ralts. A lame answer, yes, but I really can't think of anything else. I wish he'd get jirachi back, the story with jirachi was really touching, but we all know that's impossible.

Anyway, I don't think he'll be getting the evolved forms of the pokemon as you're all saying. He's a little kid, and I don't it would feel right to the anime writers to give someone small big pokemon. I see that he'll have his pokemon stay small.

Hm... I thought about this, too.

Ralts because it was [seeimingly] the most likely he would return to. Maybe it could be an Erureido for D/P reference, maybe not. I have a feeling that Max would like Metang/Metagross/Beldum mainly because of how intellegent they are, and Max seemed to be most intellegent when it came to locations, battling, etc. when him and May were with Ash. Mightyena is possible, but not likely because of the fact that those things seem to go anywhere in the reigon. Apparently, Treecko was the best starter, so I can see him with [at least] a Grovyle. Not Sceptile, but mainly that's because Ash already has one. I don't think Max will get Shuppet, at least the one that he met. Possibly a different one, even a Banette. I can see Deoxys being a powerhouse in Max's team, but I can only picture him with the speed form for some reason. So, Max's final team:
