I had him with Ralts when he first became a Trainer in my Fic. It was interesting explaining that one... I think she was waiting for him at the door to the Lab if I recall correctly (she's psychic, so she was able to tell that it was time).

In the Anime, definitely Ralts as his first Pokemon. If the Anime ever threw out the third commandment of Pokemon (Never mention the movies or specials in the Anime series), then maybe Jirachi later on down the road. But definitely Ralts.
