If Nintendo released other Wii controllers, would you buy?

After reading an article posted by Latios in Other Video Game Discussion about controllers, it got me thinking.

What if Nintendo, for a limited time, made EXACT replicas of their NES, SNES, and N64 controllers for the purpose of Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console. Would you buy any or all of them, or just stick to the Classic Controller or Gamecube controller on Wii?

I actually would get them all, 'cause nothing compares to playing the games on their original controllers. Plus just the nostalgia of it.

If they do end up doing that, no. While the Virtual Console will be a great addition with to the Wii, playing next generation Nintendo games are my main priority with Wii, no retro ones. While I will download some, I'm not hardcore enough to put down a bunch of money to enchance that experience.

I was thinking of limited edition Wii/Classic Controllers that used a colour style similar to NES/SNES/N64/GCN, with retrospective logos. Classic Controllers would be best suited for this, I'd think. And we can throw in Genesis/Mega Drive and PC Engine/Turbografx styles too!

Maybe. While it would be fun using the old controllers again, I don't have an unlimitted allowance...

Well, doesnt the retro constoller look a lot like the SNES controler anyway? I mean witht he button layouts. And I am sure that it is not to far off of the NES one. I may consider buying a N64 one, but I can not say for certain. I would have to see what I thought when it was released. I am prone to doing things on impulse and changing my decisions.

Maybe. If they were wireless then a somewhat more substantial maybe.

However, I would prefer it a lot more if there were some difference. Such as the colour should match the Wii-style, etc. So, I guess it is just a "maybe" for me. I can't really say either way.

All of 'em. You can turn the Wii-Mote sideways to play NES, but I would like a real one. And the SNES one has two analog sticks on it(Maybe not for release, but for now) in that pic in NP. I really want the N64 one. I never figured out how to hold it. >_>

EDIT: And Fox, you missed the Zapper controller. And yes, it has buttons on it, so it is one.

I've had all of the Nintendo systems [NES, SNES, N64, GCN, GAME BOY, GB POCKET, GB COLOR, GB ADVANCE, GBA SP, & NDS] and I'm sure aint gonna stop now. Besides this is a new gen of Nintendo. The DS, and WII. why wouldnt you buy this. If youre on this site, you must like pokemon, and why not buy the Wii at least for that? Get used to it. Remember those arcade games at laser fun zones, chucky chesses, etc, where you can shoot the screen? Thats sort what this system is. I'm sick and tired of people saying they dont like the controller for the Wii. Theres a thousand threads about it, so shut and stop making threads about it. KEEP IT TO YOURSELF!!!!

Wow buddy, I think you should probably learn to read. This isn't a thread complaining about the Wii's controller, it's a thread asking if you would be an NES, SNES, or N64 controller made for the Wii to play their respective Virtual Console games.

As for me, possible. It depends on how the games control with the GCN Controller.

I'd only get the N64 one as I think the others are pretty stupid and I can just as easily use my Wavebird for them. The N64 controller is completely different so it's the only one worth getting.

The controller in NP isn't a SNES remake, it's the normal virtual console controller. There will not be first party controllers for the Wii that resemble classic ones.

Nostalgia's nice and all, but the classic controller handles all that and more-it's just the most practical.

If I somewhere found a ton of money, then yes I would buy them. The virtual console controller seems to me like it's going to work fine with all of the old system games, but I wouldn't mind playing with the classic controllers.

I would rather stick to this "classic controller" or GameCube's controller.

I'll just stick with the Virtual COntroler/GCN controler. I mean, unless they were REALY nice, but even then, I have them, I can hook them up and play them anytime (Chances are teh SNES will be next to the Wii) And unless my SNES Craps out on me, I'll just use the GCN controler. Though, I would get the NES one because its the ONLY one I dont already own
