If someone asked you what video-gaming was, what would you say?

See the title. If someone asked you what video-gaming was, what would you tell them?.....And yes, cheesy answers ARE allowed in this thread...

I would tell them that video-gaming is an immense realm of fantasy where you get to be a different person, in a different place, and eventually become a hero or villain. You get dunked into a world where the possibilities are endless, into a world you can just lose yourself in. A world where people can have fun, get scared, feel heroic, and do things no person has ever dreampt of doing. Gaming is sharing the good and bad experiences with your family, friends, and others. Gaming is all of this, and more.

...I'd really only say crap like that if I've had thirty-billion drugs, along with one too many sleeping-pills. In reality, I'd just walk away. :rolleyes:

So, what is your *deep* answer to this question if a clueless little kid asked you it?

But in reality, if I said anything at all, I'd say "it's playing a game on a gaming console attached to a TV. Or maybe a handheld system that's bound to nothing but its battery life." Simple and to the point. :p

If not, I'd say It's an entertainment that may be addictive, and you may not stop playing. Have fun with your life without your soul.

If someone asked me was video gaming was, I'd probably laugh in their face and call them stupid.........................unless they were from Anartica.............or A tropical rainforest. But most likey the first one.

There's still people who don't know what video games are? I'm serious here. And if they look at you blankly when you say video games, say "Xbox" or "Playstation" or "Nintendo" or "Gameboy", one of the key video game words, and then they'll know what you're talking about.

I work at a place where 95% of the people are old enough to be my parents or grandparents and the vast majority, when asking what my hobbies are, seem to know what the word video game means.
