If the Sept. 28th release of D/P holds true...

CyberCubed

Yeah, ok!
...then we only have 10 more episodes left of the Battle Frontier saga.

The site that revealed the D/P boxarts also had a tenative date, which may or may not hold true, but assuming the games actually DO come out on Sept. 28th, that means we only have 10 episodes left between now and the end of the BF. If you count the Thursday's between now and then, and as long as no more weeks are skipped like this week for the 8th movie, we're gonna get 10 more episodes.

And funnily enough, Sept. 28th is a Thursday, meaning the first D/P episode will come out the same day the games do.

Out of those 10 episodes, we know of 4 of them:

1. Perap episode
2. Weevile episode
3. Pyramid/Registeel episode
4. May/Drew "Rivals forever" episode.

That means that after those, we only have about 6 episodes left in this saga. So, I guess beating Brandon really will be the end, right? Ash may end up losing yet again to Registeel, which would mean we'll have to make yet another trip back to the Pyramid. And who knows, that may even be a 2-parter. Also, factoring in at least one "Pallet Town" episode where Ash sees his mother/family, leaves behind some Pokemon, and hears of Shinou will probably be a given.

Any theories on the last 6 episodes of Battle Frontier, if the D/P games really do come out on Sept. 28th?

The Big Al

I just keeping Octo
Tamanta and the otter thing will likely get showcase episodes. My guess for the last episode will be the group (whatever it is) heading out.

The Benmeister

Master of Magnet
Well we're gonna have to find out Aipom's (and maybe even Eevee's) purpose in the show. If we don't within the next six episodes, prepare for them to stay throughout the Shinou region.

Does that mean that Hoenn starting airing when Ruby and Sapphire came out then?

I'm thinking:
1. Perap episode
2. Weavile episode
3. Pyramid/Registeel episode
4. May/Drew "Rivals forever" episode.
5. Pyramid Episode
6. Pyramid Episode
7. Filler (possible appearance of Tamata or Buizeru)
8. Filler (possible appearance of Tamata or Buizeru) or Pallet Episode
9. Pallet Episode
10. Pallet episode or heading off to Shinou (like Hoenn Alone)

Yeah, it did. In Japan the new saga always starts the same week the new games come out.

Yeah, I believe Pokemon Advanced Generation aired the same day Ruby & Sapphire were released in Japan.

If this is true I will definately import Diamond.

3. Pyramid/Registeel episode
4. May/Drew "Rivals forever" episode.
5. Pyramid Episode
6. Pyramid Episode
7. Filler/Final 6-on-6 fight? (my bet is on Scott)
8. Filler/Final 6-on-6 fight?
9. Filler/Return to Pallet
10. Pallet episode or heading off to Shinou (like Hoenn Alone)

I kinda hope that there won't be D/P fillers, I mean lets save Buizeru and Tamanta for D/P episodes and for fillers...probably training to beat the possible three Regi's that Brandon has.

Something like this:

5. Sceptile, Donphan (if Donphan battles Registeel), and ??? training
6. Battle Pyramid AGAIN Regirock and 1/2 of Registeel battles
7. Other half of Registeel battle and Regice battle...Ash wins Pyramid symbol
8. 6 vs. 6 battle against someone who also participated in the BF
9. Filler
10. Pallet Town...info on Shinou

Yeah, it wouldnt be fun if there wasnt a 6 on 6 final battle. They can do it. We dont need any more fillers. Well, the next title will tell.

Well, that means that in America the shinou saga will begin in Season 9: Battle Frontier. Season 9 will begin with Epsiode 423 (Psychic vs Ghost! Midnight Duel!) and end with Episode 475.

THis discussion isn't about the english dub; it's about the Japanese anime series...

I always figured that the end of the Battle Frontier would be rushed, with no real climactic finale to top it off. The writers are good at telling a body of a story, but they don't really start and finish thier stories off well, IMO.

They'll be a couple fillers spinkled about. Hopefully they'll be one to explain the real reason Aipom was randomly added to Ash's party. I don't believe the writers would choose an Aipom out of all Pokemon for Ash to use in defeating Brandon and the Battle Pyramid.

We know Ash will come back home for about an episode / episode +1/2. That's a given.

Everyone else is figuring that Ash will merely go onto the new continent as a continuation of Pokemon Advanced Generation but I'm still sticking to my initial idea that the anime's going to change drastically. If my idea be the case, come the week of 9/28, we'll be treated to something extremely brand-new.

Sorry, I must have missed it, what in detail is your idea?

That's all true since this BF saga actually was pretty interesting had some cool turns but there's not much time to cover half the things started in the BF. Such as why Aipom was caught just a few epis before the end of the saga, what happened with the viridian city gym, wasnt TR given a special assignment after taking credit for splitting TM and TA, Harley pulled a few good stunts that werent taken care of at the GF(although the drew vs. May epi has harley in it and will most likely settle it), is Brock's family going to get it together and handle the problems or not, and what was the deal with Ho-oh showing up after Ash lost to the Battle pyramid.

Another complaint is that Ms. Ketchum seemed upset the entire episode Ash was back because he left like a day later. So they do the same thing again poor woman.

It's really like for them to make some positive changes like they did with AG but in different ways. Almost everyone welcomed most of the changes brought in AG. If they can bump it up to another level this could be a more top notch anime.

If Aipom doesn't do much between now and the end, it'll probably be in Shinou so we'll find out its purpose then.

what happened with the viridian city gym

I don't think this was ever meant to be explained, really. Giovanni lost control of the Gym and that's all the writers need to tell us. What would be interesting is seeing who the new Gym leader becomes, because Agatha is only there temporarily, but it's not that important.

wasnt TR given a special assignment after taking credit for splitting TM and TA,

They captured Rayquaza as seen in the Movie 9 trailers. :p

is Brock's family going to get it together and handle the problems or not,

Brock's family will probably be forever like that. I don't see them changing much.

and what was the deal with Ho-oh showing up after Ash lost to the Battle pyramid.

Well, we are returning to the Pyramid, more than once probably, so we may see Ho-oh again. I doubt they put it there for no reason.

Most of those are just nitpicks really, and I like it that some stuff, (like Brock's family and Giovanni losing the Gym) is left up to fan speculation.
