If you are the Proud Owner of a Mew Ex, I first would like to say.....Congradulations! You own the Second Rarest Pokemon Card ever made! How did you get it? I got mine in Legend Maker Pack. You see, I search Legend maker packs for Armaldo Ex's but when i found that...I thought that was better than going to Worlds.

second rarest card ever? how about the victory energy, pikachu painter top 3 places cards, grand party, please trade, victory pokedex, world champion stamped tropical wind, prerelease raichu(lol), error electrodes(all of em), pretty much any victory card ever printed, and all the vending machine cards? mew ex is waaayyy down the list.

No, Mew EX(LM) is NOT the rarest card. There are lots of rarer cards in the Japanese sets.

Boxes of LM come with 2 EXs each. In my box, I rec'd Mew EX and Dustox EX. While EX cards are released in less quantity than a regular holo, the rariety in between the EXs is the same.

Mew ex is NOT the second rarest Pokemon. It's sold in a tin in Japan. There are a ton of cards rarer than mew ex. Celebi ex UF, Each of the 1st Edition Base Set holos (Venusaur being the rarest of the sort), Gyarados *, just to name a few. (Gyarados * is rarer than the other stars because there was an error that Mewtwo and Pikachu got printed 10-13 to a box in a few error cases)

Ugh, another one of these threads, a first edition charizard is a rare card, what only a few exist, they still make legend maker, therefore they still make Mew EX, so there ya have it, rare, yes, 2nd rarest, no.

Got statistics to back this up? I knew you didn't.

Just because the card was difficult for you or your friends to get does not mean that it is the RAREST card out there.

Simply put, there are 2 EX cards per boxes(36 packs) of Legend Maker. That means that chances of getting an EX card from this set are roughly 1 in 18. Now, LM has 6 EXs(;330; ;365; ;354; ;269; ;058; and Mew).

Honestly, the odds of getting a particular EX was harder in the Unseen Forces set. Each box came with 3 EXs, but as there were so many EXs in the set, the odds of you pulling the one you wanted were much harder.

I wouldn't be talking, Mario, Mew ex is not even CLOSE to being the 2nd rarest.

I can name about 50 cards rarer than it right off the top of my head.

Yup. I'm sorry. I have other things in my life to do than be concerned with what Pokemon cards are in what sets.

Like I said, Mew EX from Legend Maker is not THE rarest card in the English sets. And until you get the statistics to prove to me that the quantity of Mew EX (LM) was much less than say, Charizard EX or Lugia EX(both of which still go for upwards of $40 on most auction sites), your argument doesn't hold water.

It's not the rarest card. I'm glad I sold it. It got me a Raichu EX and let me pay for a date with me and my girlfriend. Yay!
