Battle River

GOAL: Reach the end of a long river using HMs while defeating trainers along the way (single battles only).
CHALLENGE: You start at the beginning of a long river with a party of 4 Pokemon. You start by surfing straight up. But on the way, you will encounter islands (that you're forced to land on due to currents) that make you use HMs. For example, one might have a cave that is dark, or a bunch of trees that need to be cut. This is completely random.

You will also face trainers (swimmers in the water, and rangers on the land), as well as wild Pokemon in the water, caves, and occasional grass patches (all tall grass so no biking or running). The wild Pokemon are all water or grass types. Also, the trainers only use 3 Pokemon each, making it slightly easier on you (and this includes the Frontier Brain).

The challenge is difficult because you need to build a team that can battle strongly, but also that use HM moves. You can opt to use an HM slave, but there are still HMs that won't fit on them, plus you lose a party slot.
