If you were a Gym Leader or Elite Four, what type of pokemon would you use?

Bug Type. Bugs always seem to get the shaft in Pokemon, along with Poison. There's barely any Bug moves, so you can't take advantage of STAB. What's with that?

There certainly are Bug moves. For example, Bug Buzz, Silver Wind, X-Scissor, Bug Bite, Megahorn and Signal Beam are pretty nice Bug moves.

FLYING. Flying all the way.

Or, I could invent the very first shiny pokemon gym.

TherianForm

King of TM87
Probably Steel, or maybe Dragon they'd be cool :)

Estellise

peachy
Ghost or Psychic.
For Ghost, I'd use: Gengar, Misdreavus, Banette, and Dusclops. (In the 3rd gen games, respectively.)
For Psychic, I'd use: Gardevoir, Alakazam, Espeon, Hypno, Grumpig, and Wobbuffet.

Raizoken

The Grand Artist
I would be a grass type gym leader

I'd use:

Nuzleaf
Roselia
Cacturne
Cradily
Ludicolo
and as my strongest
Leafeon

azeem40

Pokemon is fun!
I'd probably be like Gary and have a mixed team.

Rosez66

Ace trainer
I would use the ground type like giovanni. He was the most badass gym leader back in rby days and he looked like a mafia boss. His nidoking and queen were awesome.
Pokemon would be
Nidoking
Nidoqueen
Rypehrior
Dugtrio

Buuz

Smash Trainer
I'd probably be a fire type gym leader. I actually want to use a fire team with pokémon from Sinnoh and Unova as well, but since this is 3rd Gen we're talking about, i will go with these guys:

Charizard
Typhlosion
Blaziken
Arcanine
Houndoom
Torkoal

Yeah, all three fully evolved fire starters. Much better than Magcargo and Camerupt, that's for sure.

BearTown

He needs a tissue :(
my favorite types have always been bug, dark, or poison. but I'll show what my gym would be with bug or dark

(Im not going to go all out with the super strong undefeatable pokemon. it's a gym lol)
bug:
dustox
beautifly
ninjask
volbeat

dark: (would be a weaker gym0
poochyena
mightyena
nuzleaf

Charizard
Blaziken
Typhlosion
Infernape
Emboar
Aracanine

as my back-up, i would be a Gym leader that used Water:

Samurott
Blastoise
Swampert
Empoleon
Gyarados
Quagsire

I didn't include Feraligatr becasue he is worthless in my opinion

I would use all water types, with a few half-water types thrown in there to surprise. It would be a team like Empolean/Slowking/Lapras/Blastoise/Quagsire/Jellicent

I would probably be an elite 4 member, and I would specialize in Dragons and covering their weakness. I would also allow the opponent to choose wether they want to do a double battle or not.
My pokemon are:
Dragonite
Latias
Flygon
Starmie
Swampert
Poliwrath

All 3 dragons have a different subtype to give a variety and to throw the opponent off, as each dragon has slightly different weaknesses besides dragon and ice, which they all have. Also, Latias and Starmie can recover, so I think it'll be a pain for the opponent and Starmie can use thunderbolt, great for dealing with pokemon like walrein, and I just like starmie more than milotic... everyone in the battle tower seems to have one and that just annoys me. I would love to put in kyogre over any of the water types, but I think that would be unfair. Latias, at least, is beatable and used in the battle tower.

dirkac
