If you were a Gym Leader or Elite Four, what type of pokemon would you use?

Fire types or Water types as they are my favourite, I love there concept of power and elegance respectively.
But if it came down to power, I'd use Dragon types to make the challenge for my opponent more then what they would get from a regular type.

I would use Fire Types (they are cool and Fire Type Trainers are usually awesome) or Psychic Types (Telepathy man)

Steel. I've got to say, many of my favorite pokemon are steel, and they can be a real challenge for an unprepared team. (Does Steven come to mind?)

I think I'd rather be a Gym leader because it's their job to protect the town and help rookies out, while the Elite Four just sit in a big room waiting for challengers. I generally find most gym leaders more memorable than elite four members. (bar Lance.)

If i had to choose a region, I'd probably go for Hoenn. There seems to be a prevalent number of steel types that make the region their home.

My team would probably consist of Aggron, Metagross, Scizor, Steelix, Skarmory and Magneton. I know there aren't alot to choose from but hey, that's all I've got.

i prefer to think about which 6 pokemon to use for that particular type if you know what i mean. but in response to the thread, id go for dark types

I forgot that Togekiss is Generation 4, not Generation 3 haha. Anyway, if the teams were only up to Generation 3, I'd replace Togekiss with a Slaking.

As the Pokemon Champion on the Elite Four, I'd use a different type lineup (Dragon/Ice/Electric/Fire)

I'd probably use Water-type Pokemon like Golduck, Wailord and Huntail. I know R/S/E and LG/FR already have Water-type specialists, but Water Pokemon have always been my favorites.

I'd be the first Gym leader to use dark types, I'd use a Mightyena, Cacturne and a Sharpedo

As a champion Haxoruas,Roserade,Mismagius,Metagross,Lucario,and Skarmory

I would probably use electric pokemon since thats my favorite type.

Definitely Steel or Water; those are powerful types with great defensive and offensive capabilities and they're some of my favorite types, along with Dark. The Dark type just isn't wide anough to use to a great extent.
