If You Were in Charge of the Anime (*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*)

I would retire Ash and replace him with someone smarter who actually trains and evolves their Pokemon.

Akarui Hoshi

The Bright Star
I'd make Ash keep Squirtle on his team until the end of time like he does with Pikachu. :D

I'd also make May have stayed permanently and her Squirtle never have evolved. :D

Max and Tracey don't exist, May not getting Squirtle and instead of Eevee gets a Makuhita. Also Brendan is a rival of Ash starting having Swampert, Absol, Alakazam, Milotic, Cradily and Manetric. Dawn's Buneary evolves, Piplup too all the way to Empoleon and stop being a brat. Iris's Axew evolves and she gets a Lapras. Misty gets a Vaporeon while meeting the BW gang. Serena choose Chespin and gets a male Meowstic and a Phantump that she will trade with Ash's Pumpkaboo to evolve them. She keeps Gourgeist and Ash gets Trevenant. Also Ash and Serena made a childhood promise to get married in the future and both remember it.

For the X/Y series, I would have the characters and their teams as follows -

Ash - Ash is now a seasoned trainer who takes his childhood friend Serena under his wing to teach her how to battle and train. Unfortunately for Serena, Ash is still clueless about girls. He develops a keen interest in the matter of Mega-Evolutions and initially brings his Charizard and Heracross from Oak's lab based on Professor Sycamore's idea that those two pokemon might have the ability to Mega Evolve. For a time, Ash's eagerness to learn more about Mega-Evolution distracts him from his path of challenging the gyms, even to the point that Serena considers leaving the group to carry on without him.

Pikachu Pikachu remains the same as ever and enjoys his spending his free time playing with Bonnie and Dedenne. When Ash is preparing for his Gym battle against Clemont, the possibility of evolving Pikachu comes up again and Pikachu actually considers it before once again rejecting the idea. However, after seeing several others of Ash's pokemon Mega-Evolve, Pikachu is left considering the notion once again, especially after Ash notes how cool it was to see another trainer's Raichu use Focus Blast, a move that Pikachu himself could never learn in his current form. The using of Counter Shield makes a return.

Froakie > Frogadier Froakie is a pokemon thinks it has finally found the correct trainer for itself in Ash. He is strong, resiliant and very stubborn. His ability is revealed to be Protean, which Ash quickly turns to his advantage by teaching it moves that turn its type into an advantage, most notably the move Dig in order to give it an advantage against electric types and Bounce for use against Grass Types. After evolving into Frogadier, it forgets Bubble in favour of Power-Up Punch, which it learns through training with Korrina and her Lucario.

Fletchling > Fletchinder > Talonflame As a Fletchling, this small pokemon is often under-estimated by its opponents, but its mischeivous side gives it an edge in battle. Ash is surpsised when it evovles and learns Ember, but is even more surprised to learn that is has become a part fire type, which is convenient as Ash had been looking for a fire type for his team. Ash is especially impressed by this pokemon's Gale Wings ability, which allows it to move faster when using a flying type move. Ash his team fills out Ash uses it a little less often in gym battles, though he does use it against Viola, Korrina and Ramos's pokemon, and against Valerie's Mawile in a rematch, which is when it evovles into Talonflame. Mostly he uses it in special sky battles though, something which both he and Talonflame enjoy immensely. In fact, there is a mini tournament arc dedicated to sky battles, for which Ash brings over Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor, Unfezant and Gliscor to compete as well. Its final moves are Brave Bird, which it learns from watching Staraptor, Steel Wing, Flame Charge and Acrobatics.

Pancham Pancham serves as this series' version of Scraggy. She acts very tough but isn't as strong as she thinks (at least initially) and actually prefers to play around rather than train, usually getting herself and others into trouble. When first obtained she knows Comet Punch, Work Up and Karate Chop, but later learns Vital Throw and forgets Karate Chop for Sky Uppercut. Her Iron Fist ability gives her an extra power boost when using Comet Punch or Sky Uppercut.

Tyrunt > Tyrantrum Upon arriving in Ambrette Town, the group meets a scientist who revives extinct pokemon from their fossils (cue Jurassic Park parodies and cameos from Omanyte, Kabuto and the rest). They also meet Grant, the leader of the Cyllage City Gym, who owns both Tyrunt and Amaura. After seeing these two in battle, Ash expresses a desire for Tyrunt, so the scientist suggests he go out and search for a fossil belonging to one. After a several episode absence, which invovled riding on Rhyhorns to get to Glittering cave and an encounter with Team Flare, Ash returns to the lab with a Jaw Fossil, which the scientist happily revives for him after getting a promise from Ash for regular updates on how the pokemon is doing. Tyrunt's initial moves are Bite, Roar, Stomp and Tackle. After some intense training, Ash uses it in his gym battle agaisnt Grant where it just about manages to defeat Grant's Tyrunt before falling to an Aurora Beam from Grant's Amaura. Once Tyrunt evovles, he becomes Ash's main powerhouse and eventually ends up knowing Crunch, Head Smash, Dragon Tail and Ancient Power, with Strong Jaw as its ability.

Skiddo > Gogoat Skiddo is a obtained a little later than Ash's other pokemon, but quickly becomes a main pokemon in his team. When the gang visit the Baa de Mer Ranch on route 12, they enjoy riding around on the Skiddo there and spending time with them. Ash comments that he always wanted one, and one imprints on him. After a Team Rocket attack, the ranch owner allows Skiddo to go with Ash. Initially its moves are Vine Whip, Razor Leaf and Tackle, but it later learns Bulldoze and Bulk Up, forgetting Tackle. After evolving it loses Vine Whip for Horn Leech and later learns Seed Bomb, forgetting Razor Leaf. His ability is Sap Sipper.

Charizard and Heracross When the group returns to Lumiose City, Professor Sycamore tells that that he blieves he has discovered a few more pokemon that may be able to Mega-Evolve, but needs to test his theories. Heracross and Charizard are just two of the pokemon he mentions, so Ash brings it over from Oak's lab in order for Professor Sycamore to continue his research. Later Ash learns that Professor Sycamore was successful in getting Heracross to Mega-Evolve and hurries back to Lumiose City to learn more. After witnessing Charizard and Heracross's new powers, Ash decides to not use it in his remaining gym battles, but shows no such restraint when facing down Team Flare's admins, or during the course of the league, with excellent results Ash even uses Mega-CharizardX to face of against MegaBlaziken in the final round of the league. Ash gets the Mega Stones Charizardite X, Charizardite Y and Hercronite. Charizard would forget Slash and Wing Attack for Steel Wing and Shadow Claw. Heracross would forget Horn Attack and Focus Punch for Pin Missile and Arm Thrust.

Garchomp When Ash returns for his Charizard and Heracross, he also learns that Professor Sycamore has also discovered the Garchompite stone which allows Garchomp to Mega-Evolve. In thanks for allowing him to use Charizard and Heracross for his research, and to learn more about Mega-Garchomp's battling prowess, Professor Sycamore allows Ash to train Garchomp for a while. Ash uses Mega-Garchomp when battling Team Flare's Leader and his Mega-Gyarados. He decides to give it back to Professor Sycamore before the league, as he feels that it would not be right to use a pokemon that technically isn't his. It knows Hyper Beam, Dragon Claw, Dig and Fire Blast.

Serena - Serena's main goal when she left home was to meet up with Ash, which also had the secondary benefit of escaping her mother's attempts to get her into the sport of Rhyhorn racing. Beyond that, she doesn't really have a goal in mind. She just wants to travel around, see the world and the pokemon in it and be with Ash, learning from him. She also wants more from their relationship, but Ash remains clueless, much to her annoyance. Initially she is very reluctant regarding the notion of roughing it in the wild, preferring to look for the nearest pokemon centre, but soon learns to get over it. Some would dismiss her as being a bit girly, but she is tougher than even she knows. She also has a bit of a taste for fashion, much to Ash's chagrin. It's a good thing for her that Bonnie likes playing dress-up.

Fennekin > Braixen Fennekin is Serena's walking pokemon, and this doesn't change once it evolves. Serena's starter is also her main pokemon, and she quickly learns to use it to great effect, making use of her Ember, Scratch and Flame Charge attacks to become a competent battler. Once it evovles, Braixen learns Psybeam and Fire Spin, before later learning Will-O-Wisp and Light Screen. Her ability is Magician which allows her to steal the items of a pokemon she attacks. This proves useful in getting stolen objects back from Team Rocket.

Scatterbug > Spewpa > Vivillon After seeing Viola's Vivillon in action, Serena decides to get one of her own and so gets a Scatterbug as her first self-caught pokemon and it quickly evolves through its Spewpa stage to Vivillon. She is surprised, however, to see that hers is green, not pink, which is due to Vivillion's habit of having different colours based upon where in the world they are from. Where Viola's was of the meadow form, Serena's is the garden form. From then on Serena always gets excited when she sees a Vivillon in a different form and sets out to use hers in battle against each kind. Its moves are Stun Spore, Draining Kiss, Bug Buzz and Quiver Dance and its ability is Compoundeyes

Espurr > Meowstic On the way to Parfum Palace Serena finds and falls in love with a little Espurr which she catches. Initially Fennekin is very jealous of Espurr and the attention it recieves from Serena but the two are forced to get along when they are separated from everyone else in the garden maze behind the Palace. When stressed out, Espurr has the habit of striking everything and everyone around her with a powerful blast of psychic energy. When this happens, only Serena or Fennekin can ever bring her out of it. This issue resolves itself when she evovles into Meowstic and learns to keep a better control of herself. As a Meowstic her moves are Stored Power, Charge Beam, Disarming Voice and Calm Mind. Her ability is Competitive.

Absol On Route 8 the group learn of a superstition about the pokemon Absol and how one or more appears in the area just before something bad happens. Ash recalls encountering Absol before and tries to point out that Absol don't bring danger, but try to warn people about it, but the locals don't believe it, even after Ash uses his pokedex to back up his claims. An Absol is seen and the local people begin to panic. That night a storm hits and a little boy is caught out in it so the group go with a few others to try to find him. During their search the Ash and Serena are nearly crushed by a falling boulder, but several Absol appear and uses their Razor Wind attacks to destroy the boulder. They then use their abilities to sense disaster to guide the group safely to the little boy, who two more Absol had taken to their den to keep him safe. The locals change their minds about the Absol, and one decides to accompany Serena on her journey. Absol proves itself to be useful many times and later Serena obtains an Absolite, allowing her Absol to Mega-Evolve in battle. His moves are Razor Wind, Detect, Night Slash and Stone Edge. Normally its ability is Super Luck, but this changes to Magic Bounce when it Mega Evolves.

Amaura > Aurorus At the same time that Ash finds his jaw fossil, Serena finds a sail fossil, which is revived into an Amaura that knows Powder Snow, Aurora Beam, Take Down and Rock Throw. Amaura is a very playful pokemon that doesn't really realise her own strength. She also develops the habit of freezing the area around herself (and those within it) when over-excited (this is a frequent cause of Espurr's stressed out blasting of psychic energy. After evolving she has trouble dealing with her new size for a while, but eventually gets used to the change and becomes one of Serena's most powerful pokemon. Fully evolved she knows Freeze-Dry, Hyper Beam, Ancient Power and Dragon Tail, and has the ability Refrigerate.

Eevee > Sylveon Serena catches an Eevee that knows the moves Quick Attack, Swift and Baby-Doll Eyes. A few episodes later, after a good session of playing around and getting her fur bushed by Serena, Eevee evolves into Sylveon. Although an able battler, Sylveon's main role is to help calm things down, especially when pokemon begin to argue (much like Dawn's Togekiss). Her eventual moves are Moonblast, Draining Kiss, Swift and Quick Attack, and her ability is Cute Charm.

Clemont - Clemont's primary passion in life is inventing things. He follows Ash on his journey, partly because he admires him as a trainer and hopes to learn from his to become a better Gym Leader, but also because its a chance to test some of his inventions in the field. He doesn't tell Ash that he is the Lumiose City Gym Leader until Ash decides to challenge the gym, which causes a bit of bad feeling between the two. After the battle, Clemont thanks Ash for letting him travel with him, feeling that he had become a better trainer for it, but voices the thought that perhaps he ought to leave the group and remain at the gym, but he and Ash patch things up and they continue to travel together.

Bunnelby This is the first pokemon revealed and his ground type moves cause Ash and Pikachu problems when they first battle. Bunnelby is a strong and loyal pokemon and likes assisting Clemont as he builds new machines. Clemont lets some of his type-preference show through when he has Bunnelby learn the electric type move Wild Charge, to go with Dig, Mud Shot and Double Slap.

Chespin > Quilladin Clemont's first on-screen capture is a Chespin that was causing a bit of trouble by stealing food. It would use its spikes to hurt those who tried to stop it, and its hard shell helped protect it. After a pursuit across town, Clemont and Bunnelby track Chespin down, only for Team Rocket to come in and steal it. Clemont has Bunnelby rescue Chespin and together they get rid of Team Rocket. Chespin agrees to travel with Clemont. When caught it knows Seed Bomb, Pin Missile, Tackle and Bite. Chespin enjoys playing with Bonnie and Dedenne, and will also try to help Clemont building things, but is usually more of a hinderance. When he evovles into Quilladin he forgets Tackle for Rollout. His ability is Bulletproof.

Heliolisk Heliolisk is revealed a few episodes into the journey as being Clemont's powerhouse pokemon. It is also revealed to have been Clemont's first pokemon, caught as a Helioptile. Heliolisk is aware that it is strong and soon enters into a bit of a rivalry with Pikachu. Heliolisk is used by Clemont during his and Ash's Gym Battle. Sometimes it will provide electricity for Clemont's inventions, but this is maily Magneton's area. It knows Parabolic Charge, Razor Wind, Thunder and Dig. His ability is sand veil.

Magneton While exploring the Lost Hotel the group come across a rampaging Magneton which Clemont eventually calms down. They find that it was mad because a gang of thugs had taken over the lower floors of the building and were using it as their base. Clemont and Helioptile and Ash and Pikachu team up with Magneton to drive the gang out, after which Magneton decides to come with Clemont. Clemont uses it in his battle against Ash, though mainly uses it to proved power for his inventions. Magneton as the ability Sturdy and knows Zap Cannon, Lock-On, Mirror Shot and Sonic Boom.

Bonnie Clemont's younger sister loves to meet new people and pokemon, though shows little thought regarding personal space, often resulting in her being on the receiving end of an attack from a startled pokemon. She loves her brother and his inventions, but sometimes tells him off for focusing on them too much. She will also tell off Ash or Serenaif she thinks they're becoming too distracted or causing trouble. She enjoys play with pokemon and also likes it when she and Serena get to try out new outfits (though they cannot afford them) or hairstyles. She is very aware of Serena's feelings for Ash and is exasperated by how clueless he is, but doesn't bring it at Serena's request.

Dedenne Although technically Clemont's pokemon, Dedenne is regarded as being Bonnie's. It is a walking pokemon, though is usually to be found snuggled up in Bonnie's bag. Dedenne loves to play and shares Bonnie's joy at meeting new people and pokemon. He has the ability Cheek Pouch and knows Tackle, Thundershock, Nuzzle and, later, Hidden Power.

If I was in charge of the Anime, I would have Ash skip the pokemon league tournment and have him battle the Elite 4.

I would make all of Ash's pokemon evolve. (Especially his Pikachu)

I would make Ash's Kalos team be: Pikachu, Frogadier/Greninja, Chesnaught, Talonflame, Avalugg, and Carbink. (It may be similar to this anyway.;p )

Serena would NOT evolve her Fennekin all the way to Delphox, and instead just to Braixen. She would also get Sylveon and Vivillon.

Clemont would have Bunnelby, Honedge, and Heliolisk.

Bonnie would befriend the Dedenne and it would travel with her. <3

Already happened haha :p

- I would have Ash win the Kalos League and make it to the Champion League.
- Serena would not evolve her Fennekin (I'm sorry, but it is way too cute imo)
- Team Rocket will leave (gosh, they are annoying)
- Ash & Serena will be canon (my dream now :p)
- Bonnie & Clemont get in a huge argument in an episode
- Have a special for May and her Johto travels (I miss her so much!)
- Max goes back for that damn Ralts
- The things that happened in movies are not forgotten and some moments get retold in episodes
- Tracey comes flying in on a Skarmory and waves at Ash & co. then flies away

Non non non!
If the anime was up to me, this will be the cast:

Kanto: Ash/Misty/Brock [70 Episodes]
Orange Islands: Ash/Misty/Tracey [30 Episodes]
Johto: Ash/Misty/Jasmine [80~90 Episodes]
She replaces Tracey. She is a companion that follows Ash's journey. Misty continues to strive towards the best water trainer as she remains undecided. Upon reaching Olivine City, she and Ash battles, which ends in a tie and her giving him the badge. She continues to travel with Ash after that.
Hoenn: Ash/May/Max/Brock [120 Episodes]
Battle Frontier (In Sevii Islands instead!): Ash/May/Max/Tracey[60 Episodes]
Brock leaves the group to take the Pokemon Doctor Test while Tracey takes over.
Sinnoh: Ash/Dawn/Brock [130 Episodes]
Brock returns to the cast as a Pokemon doctor under training. His goal is to receive ten recommendations from Nurse Joy across Sinnoh in order to become a full-fledge PokeDoctor
Sinnoh Battle Frontier (in Johto): Ash/Dawn/Brock [60 Episodes]
They head to Johto to do the Battle Frontier challenge after Dawn gets 4th place in the Sinnoh Grand Festival. Continuing from where Brock dropped off, he continues to strive to become Pokemon Doctor by preparing for his test after getting his recommendation from Sinnoh Joys.
Unova, Best Wishes 1: Ash/Iris/Cilan/Hilda [80 Episodes]
Iris prepares for the Dragon Tournament at Opleucid City instead of being a dragon master (though similar, just with a proper goal). Hilda plans to win five PWT Qualifiers, each featuring different battle styles (Triple, Single, Rotational, Rental etc), in order to reach the PWT Cup, prestigious cup similar to Grand Festival except battling. Opleucid Gym instead of Virbank.
Unova, Best Wishes 2: Ash/Iris/Cilan [40~50 Episodes]
Battling Festival is the goal instead. It's a large tournament with 17 different categories, one for each type as well as an addition FFA cup, which anyone can participate in. Iris enters the Dragon Cup (dragon-only mons) and Cilan enters the Grass Cup (grass-only mons). A few callbacks to previous companions (Misty - Water Cup, Jasmine - Steel Cup, Brock - Rock Cup) and a FFA with all previous companions.
XY: Ash/Clemont/Bonnie/Serena
AFter the huge hype of the Battling Festival, Ash goes to Kalos.

I. Cannot. Believe. Someone. Else. Remembered. This.
God bless you! I loved that episode!

The Power of Pika

Way Past Cool!!
Gary would appear more in Johto. The GS ball wouldn't be abandoned and they'll go back for it with the Celebi plot originally planned kept it. There's no reason for celebi not to be in both the movie and the episodes providing you show the episode celebi long after the movie so it doesn't hurt the movies viewings. I'd probably place the story around the middle of master quest or before the 8th gym at the very least. Kind of like what DP did with the Galactic plot ending.
There would be less repetition of the Ash helps character of the day, team rocket attacks then blasts off. We can still have the team rocket attacks but there's be more variation in the story. kanto worked fine with variation so I can't see why this wouldn't work for Johto.
Jessie would have kept lickitung and got Wobbuffet a different way.

Around Hoenn I would have May competing in contests earlier than they did. We had to wait for most of season 6 for anything to start up when it came to that.
Treecko would have become a Sceptile alot sooner.
May's Bulbasaur would have evolved during this series to make things a little different with that line instead of after the entire run of hers was done. I would have loved to have seen Venusaur battle outside of the still frames in sinnoh or at least she should have got an Ivysaur.
Misty wouldn't have released Togepi. Actually the story would keep going as usual and togepi would evolve where she got to keep a Togetic.
More Team rocket focused episodes that are based on story and emotion. Maybe even more flashbacks or development for said characters.
Brock's Mudkip would have evolved in Hoenn and not battle frontier.

Battle frontier would be a little longer to allow more development. I felt trying to shove a tonne of contests in addition to the frontier was a little too squashed allowing for less development episodes. Misty's come back would have been nice to see her battle more and maybe even stay a little longer for further development for her and characters around her.
Brock's mashtomp would have evolved into swampert here.

Sinnoh was great personally. Though i would have evolved Gible at least once.
Togekiss would have been introduced earlier to allow for more bonding.
Misty could come back to help with said bonding with the Togetic that I said earlier shouldn't have been released.
I would have had mention on what happened to May when she went back to Johto. Maybe even a side episode showing the grand festival.
Jessie would have Lickitung, which I mentioned earlier shouldn't have been let go, evolve into Lickilicky and it's jump out of it's pokeball just to eat all of team rocket's food for the hell of it.=P
James would have gotten a Snover in addition to carnivine.
Ash would win the league and go to the Champion league and lose to the elite 4.

Unova Snivy would have learnt more new moves.
Pignite would have stayed a tepig.
Oshawott would have evolved to Samurott.

More development episodes.

N would have been introduced alot earlier.

The overall story wouldn't finish prematurely resulting in filler. If anything it'd be better planned where I plan the overall story and how many episodes I'm going to have but have back up plan where I can shorten said story just in case of surprise announcements from gamefreak.

The league would bring in old Pokemon in addition to the Unova pokemon and the league would be longer to reduce the filler arc to no filler arc.

Ash would reach the Champion league again and get further only to lose again.

Team rocket would be written out properly in the Unova region. That means not only being defeated but actually having a proper wrap up for Jessie and James and the disbandment of team rocket.

Kalos would be the final region where he finally becomes the master. The story would have alot of build up and story aswell as wrapping up Ash journey bit by bit. There will be tonnes of backstory of Ash about his past aswell. Ash's Charizard would get a mega form which helps him through the champion league with his other powerful Pokemon. Pikachu would finally get a lightball (I don't care they ignore items usually, I just want Pikachu to get it.=P) Also an introduction to the move relearner to get back Volt tackle.

The region after Kalos would be a new character.

Yeah, ok!
I probably would have had Brock leave at the end of AG (his last decent role in the series), and replaced him with Barry for DP.

Chaos Werewolf

Fairy trainer
I just want to say if everyone is Espurr/Meowstic -less come time for gen VII I will be very surprised. Maybe even two and Jessie gets a female James or Ash get a Male.

How I Would Like Kalos To Go

Now, that long post made by @Sprinter1988 is just perfect and sums up exactly how amazing the anime would be if it went by that. So Imma just add a few things I would like to see happen. :)

Damien - Damien is an artist Ash and the gang met up on Route 7 after an episode of helping out at the daycare.
Damien is a very poetic and artistic person who expresses himself through drawing, painting, music, and all the arts that
there are. Though he is not much a fan of Pokemon Battling, Ash still has a difficult time beating him in battle.

Spritzee - Aromatisse: Aromatisse is Damien's first ever Pokemon who he treasures dearly. It's a very calm, gentle, and patient Pokemon, who always inspires Damien. It's speed always proves to fool Ash, along with Ash's lack of knowledge about the fairy type. Aromatisse knows Dismarching Voice, Psychic, Attract, and Draining Kiss. It is female.
Gourgeist: Gourgeist is a Pokemon always seen out of it's poke ball due to the inspiration it gives Damien and because of its amazing power. It is Large Size, and appears as a very friendly, but protective Pokemon. It's moves are Shadow Ball, Trick-Or-Treat, Leech Seed, and Bullet Seed.
Volcarona: For a few episodes, Damien had been travelling withe Ash, and during these episodes, he captured Volcarona. When he first laid eyes on it, he found beauty in the fiery bug type. Damien quickly befriended Volcarona, and a battle had not been necessary to capture it. Its known moves are Fiery Dance, Hurricane, Silver Wind, and Hidden Power (Electric).

Siebold - Ash had been honored to meet Siebold, one of the Kalos Elite Four while traveling with Damien. The first thing he had ever said to Ash, was an old quote about the Art of Pokemon Battling. Siebold became interested in Damien when he found out he was an artist himself. When Damien denied the fact he wasn't much for Pokemon Battling, Siebold challenged him to a battle. The end results? Siebold's Clawitzer took down Volcarona with ease.
Clawitzer: Clawitzer is debuted while battling Damien's Volcarona, but is also seen briefly on a T.V challenging Malva's Pyroar. It's known moves are Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, and Water Pulse.

Shouldn't damien have a smeargle?

You're right, that thought had crossed my mind, but I wasn't sure if I really wanted him too. He could, since there are many Smeargles on Route 7, and it could add to be his fourth Pokemon.

If I were in charge of the anime, Leagues would go the same as the anime, but once a victor emerges, they immediately go on to directly battle the Elite Four and then the Champion. The overall plot would go like this:

Kanto: Practically the same, although Team Rocket outside of the TRio has a more major role in the storyline despite their anonymity throughout the saga. Gary also appears a bit more frequently. Also, no pity badges.

Orange Islands: Also the same essentially, although there's more emphasis on Team Rocket's role in the saga, and they become a real threat.

Johto:

-Marina travels with Ash instead of Misty, who returns to Cerulean City to run the Gym for her sisters.

-Jimmy and Vincent would be friendly rivals, while Gary seems to be more relaxed in his rivalry towards Ash, which intrigues him.

-By the end of the saga, Gary announces that he has retired as a Trainer and will do Pokémon researching like his grandfather.

-Team Rocket is also defeated and Giovanni arrested, but the TRio escapes and continues to follow Ash, hoping to seek revenge on him.

Hoenn:

-Ash's rivals would be Brendan and Wally. Brendan would've run away from home in order to escape the expectations from many people that he will become a Pokémon researcher like his father, and to pursue his goal of becoming the Champion of the Hoenn League. Wally, like May, would be very unsure of himself and his abilities as a Trainer, but Ash mentors him to have confidence in himself and his Pokémon.

-Teams Aqua and Magma have a more pivotal role in the saga and are real threats, having actually culminated a number of natural disasters like floods and earthquakes after attacking Kyogre and Groudon; these disasters become a recurring challenge for Ash and the group for a small part of the saga, and it ends after they calm a fierce battle between Kyogre and Groudon.

-In the Hoenn League, Ash and Wally lose to Brendan, who then defeats Steven (who is the Hoenn League Champion instead of Wallace) and becomes the new Champion, dispelling all of the expectations people had on him.

Battle Frontier:

-Wally continues to be Ash's rival through the Battle Frontier, and there is a small subplot of him having a crush on May, although he moves on from it in the end.

-There is also a recurring subplot of the TRio and other remaining members of Team Rocket deciding to seize the opportunity to break Giovanni out of prison, which they accomplish by the end of the season.

Sinnoh:

-Wally replaces Brock as Ash's traveling companion in Sinnoh, and he gains a stronger crush on Dawn when they first meet. The entire saga is spent with him crushing over her, mostly for laughs.

-Brock is now a recurring character striving to become a Pokémon Doctor who must receive the approval of the Nurse Joys for a region in order to accomplish his goal.

-The rivals are the same for everyone.

-Throughout the saga, a mysterious masked figure will appear frequently, committing crimes seemingly for the good of others and giving the group cryptic warnings, which later lead into the Team Galactic arc. The Team Galactic arc remains the same, although their schemes are hindered by the masked figure, who later helps the group defeat them. He will then mysteriously disappear, and it is revealed that he planned to forcibly capture Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf (but was unable to) for unknown purposes that are unsolved by the end of the saga.

-The TRio will utilize their BW personality as they carry out missions for Team Rocket to aid in its reconstruction.

-In the Sinnoh Grand Festival, Dawn will start to return Wally's feelings for her, but both do not know how to confess to each other about it. When the saga ends, they still do not know how to, but decide to travel together to Hoenn in order to find out how.

Unova:

-Instead of Iris, Ash is joined by Hilda, who already had a Pokémon journey through the region and offered to be a tour guide for him.

-Pikachu's electrical problems it suffered from Zekrom is a subplot for the first few episodes, and it is remedied after they come across Zekrom again.

-The mysterious masked figure from DP will return as a recurring character, but his role is more minimal. It will later be revealed that he infiltrated Team Plasma for unknown purposes that are unanswered by the end of the saga. However, Ash finds out that he had planned to capture Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf for himself. The figure escapes by the end of the saga, swearing Ash as an enemy.

-Cilan joins the group as well, and midway into the saga, they are also joined by Rosa, who appears to be a new Pokémon Trainer.

-The Team Plasma arc is dispersed throughout the saga, although they are very mysterious outside of N, whose ideals intrigue Hilda greatly.

-Team Rocket will have been rebuilt by this point, and the TR vs. TP episodes will occur. The Team Rocket arc is, otherwise, essentially unchanged.

-The rivals are the same, with the addition of Iris for Ash.

-It will be revealed that during her journey, Hilda had a great winning streak, winning against the first seven Gyms on her first battles, with only some of her Pokémon being knocked out occasionally. However, all of that changed when she battled Roxie, who was able to defeat all of her Pokémon during their first battle, and all of the rematches turned up similar results. When she was unable to participate in the Unova League in time as a result, Hilda held a grudge against Roxie ever since. When the group arrives at Virbank City Gym, Hilda challenges Roxie to a rematch, which she loses again. N, being there at the time, tells her that it is because she had become clouded by arrogance stemming from her previous winning streak, and therefore, she can never win against Roxie unless she learns to accept defeat. Following the advice, Hilda finally wins against Roxie, who gives her the Toxic Badge, finally making her eligible to participate in the Unova League. Ash also battles Roxie and gets the Toxic Badge.

-During the Team Plasma arc, Rosa will be revealed as a member, who was assigned to go undercover as a Trainer and travel with the group since N, whom they were looking for, was following the same path as the group. However, her time with Ash and the others will force her to question her morals and her loyalty to Team Plasma, since they raised her after she was orphaned. Eventually, she helps Ash and the others defeat Team Plasma, then allows herself to be arrested by Looker, who assures that the International Police will find a way to give her some sort of amnesty in return for her help (which would later be revealed to be a position as an International Police officer). N will thank them all and leave, but there will be a subsequent subplot where Hilda knows she will one day convince him that humans and Pokémon can coexist peacefully.

-There will also be a mini-arc of the Genesect Army searching for a home and destroying any environment it sees as unfit. It reaches its climax in the sixteenth movie.

-During the Unova League, Ash and Hilda will face against each other, and Hilda wins. However, she loses against Virgil, who then becomes the Unova League Champion.

-Hilda leaves to find N.

Kalos:

-The mysterious masked figure once again returns, but is much more antagonistic and has a reserved hatred towards Ash. He will have caused Garchomp's rampage as a distraction from his unknown goal in Lumiose City. His identity will eventually be revealed by the end of the saga.

-The MegaBlaziken Trainer will be connected to the masked figure somehow.

Other Details:

-A MUCH MORE smoother flow of continuity.

-The movies are canon and will be referenced from time to time.

-More mentioning and cameo appearances of past characters.

Well, I would have gave Dawn a Typhlosion before she left Ash's gang again in unova, for one.

I felt kind of disapointed she didn't get one after her unova battle with Ash. :| I feel Dawn woulda looked pretty cool with a Typhlosion lol

Typhlosion is epic anyways :)
