If You Were in Charge of the Anime (*POTENTIAL SPOILERS*)

Now why would you want Ash to go through all of that poor crap again for nothing. He doesn't need to go back to Kanto. Even though the writers does some screwed up stuff sometimes, after a while, I just get used to it. For example; pokemon releases, pokemon trades, loses and wins.

Well, no, he wouldn't need to go back. I'm just saying it would be cool to see him go back to his roots and try the Indigo League again just to see how much he's improved as a trainer. And I would hardly call it "poor crap." Ash and Co. seemed content traveling through Kanto to me. Kanto was a good season in which Ash got his start and did pretty well in the Indigo League (16th).

Have made it with the same factors as the manga. Meaning no Ash, Brock, other annoying characters that weren't form the manga, ( Much ) more story, more drama, better characters, Ect. I would basically target the anime at people of 13-15 years of age.

I would make him battle all the kanto gym leaders again. I just watched the episode with the fight against Lt. Surge and man, would love to see Surge battle Pikachu now.
Other stuff, evovle Ash's pokémon, despite how much I hate Floatzel's look, he needs a better water type.

But yeah, just imagine all those gym leaders and trainers who've called him weak when he just started out.

Then it wouldn't be the anime it is, would it? Dream about this happening, because even if you were one of the writers the other writers wouldn't listen to you.

If I was in charge of the anime I would bring misty/may back as dawn is very annoying, I would let ash win the sinnoh league but then he loses at the first member of the elite four, and probably a couple of other things that wouldn't happen.

I wouldn't let ash go back to kanto, not for the third time that is a little much.

If I was in charge of the anime, I would probably try and advertise to two separate age groups.

The young kids (for whom the current show is good), and the teens to adults.

With the latter group, I would make the show more like Pokemon Adventure. I would make it darker and create new characters, make them older. Plots would be created that would last over spans of episodes. Also, the Pokemon themselves would be developed. I'd probably give them some way of communication with the trainers, in order to give them personality.

The main characters would get a resolution after each region (likely having the main characters change each time a new region is made). There would be relationships.

I think I'd give Brock more of a part and perhaps new pokemon to help him develop his 'dream'.

I'd also get rid of Buizel as I never liked its personality.

There's more.. I'd probably give James a better part - give him a job. I liked that he ended being quite alright at contests, so maybe something revolving around that. He never seemed 'evil' to me.

I see way too many people putting the girl from LG and FR in the anime during Kanto. You guys need to go back in time and think of everything when Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green were the only Pokemon games around. The Sevii Islands never existed and neither did the girl from FR and LG. While I understand you guys wanting to change all that, but at least try to think of events before Generations II-IV came around. Here's what I would do.

Kanto
-Like many other people, I would have Gary show up every now and then AND battle Ash with them having tied wins and losses.
-We'd have a look at the OTHER 2 trainers that left Pallet the same day as Ash and Gary (we don't even know who they are).
-Misty would leave her Staryu and Goldeen with her sisters
-Ash's Squirtle would evolve into Blastoise and have a rivalry between it and Charizard
-Ash would Oak his Primeape and Pidgeot
-Ash and crew would encounter Giovanni at some point

Orange Islands
-Brock would never have left and Tracey would be a more broadened character
-Bulbasaur would not be reluctant to evolve before the battle with Drake
-Misty's Psyduck would evolve FOR REAL
-Very few fillers

Johto
-Ash would meet Kenta/Jimmy and Marina and Kenta would be a friendly rival.
-Ash and Gary would still meet up and have their occassional battle to see who's better
-Very few fillers
-Ash's Johto pokemon would have more strengths and evolve
-Ash would lose to Kenta instead of Harrison

Hoenn
-Misty would NOT leave and May would still join the crew
-Ash would become friendly rivals with Brendan
-Misty would get Mudkip instead of Brock
-Misty would actually WANT a Surskit as a means of fighting her fear of bug pokemon
-At the Hoenn League Championships Ash would NOT stick to just his Hoenn Pokemon
-Misty's Togepi will still evolve, but she will get it back later
-Brock would get an Aron and his Geodude would evolve into a Graveler

I'll get more to things later, but that's just my POV of what I would do.

If I was in charge....

The one thing I would do if I was in charge of the Anime is simple- give Jesse and James something better to do besides trying to get Pikachu. Overall I think Jesse and James are good characters, but after years of trying to get a single Pikachu they should just give it up already. If Jesse and James spent even half the time they spend trying to steal the Pokemon of others and just invest more time in training their own they could actually end up being pretty tough. Also I know I said "the ONE thing I would do" but I can't help to add that I think this series would be better if they had more epic battles. The adventuring stuff is entertaining but I think it would be better if Ash's adventures actually centered around him developing his Pokemon more. If there were more serious battles and less of Ash and Co. earning their good deeds for the day this show would almost be perfect for fans of Pokemon.

Yeah, Id back that. See Sinnoh Elite4, decide he wants to batter old ones from other regions, run back, actually use decent trained Pokemon to win all the leagues then fight all the Elite4s. Then timeskip to Gen5.

- Not putting any interactions between characters, especially two female characters
- Keeping the old theme songs since the rest of the theme songs are mediocore at best
- And making Team Rocket more powerful and serious just like Season 1

Ash would get an Eevee in Celadon City, which would later evolve into an Espeon. Ash would also keep Haunter, and since Pokemon don't necessarily have to be traded in the anime to evolve (Poliwhirl-Politoed), it would evolve normally.

Orange Islands:
All would stay the same

Johto:
Pikachu
Noctowl
Chikorita-Bayleef
Cyndaquil-Quilava
Totodile-Croconaw-Feraligatr
Phanpy
Eevee-Espeon (reserve)
Heracross (reserve)
Cyndaquil would evolve just before the Silver Conference. Totodile would evolve during the Whirl Cup, and Croconaw would evolve during One Trick Phoney. Eevee would evolve a few episodes after meeting Gary's Umbreon, ultimately losing to it in the League.

Hoenn:
Pikachu
Treecko-Grovyle
Torkoal
Corphish
Taillow-Swellow
Snorunt-Glalie
Phanpy-Donphan (released)

Phanpy would sneak onto the ferry for Hoenn, appearing as a target for Pikachu to release its excess electricity due to its immunity to Electric attacks. It would evolve into Donphan during... eh, let's say Vanity Affair against Drake's Shelgon and be released in Date Expectations.

Also, during his trip to Hoenn, Brock would catch a Vulpix of his own (since he never considered Suzy's Vulpix to really belong to him) that would become his Pikachu for Hoenn and beyond. Other than that, everything's the same.

Battle Frontier:

Corphish would evolve through training after the first Anabel battle. With its new Dark-type, it would star in the battle against Anabel.

Gligar-Gliscor (traded)

The gang would've met Bertha earlier than the Draco Meteor episode. She would have a gible that takes a kind of liking to Ash. After Gliscor loses to her Hippowdon, she would propose a trade - her Gible for Ash's Gliscor - for the sake of training Gliscor and the happiness of Gible. From there, Gible would struggle with Draco Meteor like normal.

Also, Jessie would catch an Eeeve and evolve it into a Jolteon, which she would tout as Team Rocket's ultimate defense against Pikachu (at least until Ash gets wise to her plans).

6.give brock the chance to do something like breeder contest give him more of aa role.
7.make pokemon a little more serious it's aimed to much at younger kids
8.shown us properly what the pokem world looks like
9.get rid of dawn after sinnoh
10.introduce dads to the characters it's like they try yo reflect real life but most people have dads or mums
