yeah, my level 93 Dragonite on FR has a crappy set but i don't dive a **** (I learned about how to play well after i'd trained it...)

I don't think it's ignorant to use strong moves, because I used those sorts of movesets all through Pokémon Gold (which died today, sadly :(), and I got up to Red and beat him. Several times.
I have now learned, though, that if you want to win in link battles, which are usually more difficult than in-game battles, you have to use some strategy and no moves that will either miss or freeze you, 'cos you then get killed.

I dunno. I remember in the G/S generation, my Typhlosion had ALOT of luck. Only around 79, with a move set of Sunny Day, Flamethrower, Flame Wheel, and Fire Punch, I always managed to beat my friend's Meganium, even though he had a varied moveset and knew what he was doing. Plus, the Meganium was level 100.

Pure bliss.

All my little cousin use those kinds of moves. They also say they can beat me, but I crush them everytime.
