IGPX: Season One

Well, IGPX has officially finished its first season. Personally, I have the same thoughts on it as I did in the beginning. Great animation, nice voices, terribly boring races. The other parts of the story were somewhat interesting, but seeing as the races are the most important part of the anime, their being uninteresting is definately a bad thing. :/

But that's just my opinion. Any other thoughts on this season?

On top of the other praises, I thought the races were entertaining (some more than others). The race that ended the first season was awesome in my opinion. It really got the adrenaline pumping just waiting to see who would cross the finish line.

The race in the "Cat vs. Dog" episode was executed well also. The concept of having a dog similar in Luka's position actually race against it was amusing I thought. Several of the scenes on the racetrack were mesmerizing to watch as the machines blazed through the course.

The match against Skylark wasn't one of my favorites, but having River make a comeback with Team Sledgemamma was great to see as well.

IGPX is an intense series that I wouldn't mind watching again (DVD's shoud be soon...) and am eager to check out the next season.
