...but I need help.

Okay, I have finished Emerald. Everything (essentially)
-Beaten the e4.
-Got all of the gold symbols from the battle fronteir.
-Got all of my pokemon to level 100
-Max money.
-Finished gym leader rematches
-Did all of the sidequests (new mauville, abandoned ship, safari zones, legendaries (ALL 7 OF THEM!))

I don't want to delete my game because of all of the stuff I did.
When I was about to, God sent me a sign. I opened an e-mail from my friend who says that he wants to battle with me, 1v1. So, it'll happen in the end of July. HEP ME!!!

I have every TM. Just no outside influences! (The only one is an adamant hariyama w/ substitute that I had my friend do. He's brain-dead. I sent him a makuhita w/ a nugget, he agreed to give it substitute!)
His team I believe consists of something close to wally; Gardevoir, Salamence, Noctowl, Sceptile, and smeargle w/ fly (thats all that I remember). He might've changed it. I told him my tricks (sights w/ bad movesets, some w/ good info) He may very well be using Armaldo, Skarmory, etc.

My best equipped pokemon:
-Walrein*
-Manectric*
-Sceptile*
-Hariyama (Adamant w/ substitute)* <--Only @75, so still enough room for EVs.
-Girafarig
-Torkoal <-------Yes, I would have prefferred Ninetales, but look at the rules vvvvvvvvvvvvv)
-Claydol

Remember that there are a few unlimited things in the game: Lillycove tms, berries, battle fronteir tutors, exp, money, heart scales.

The rules:
1.) No Legendaries
2.) No Waynaut/Wobbuffet
3.) No use of pokemon below the number 151 or who have family below 151.
4.) No use of pokemon w/ Hoenn Dex # greater than 200.
5.) No use of Secret Power, Nature Power, or Hidden Power
6.) No cheating (use of AR or Gameshark qualifies)

--> I forgot about his ability. So, should I give him a White Herb? Or leftovers?

The last goes to a supporter. that leaves me with
Claydol: Reflect, Light Screen, Psychic, Rapid Spin
Girafarig1: Reflect, Light Screen, Psychic, Wish
Girafarig2: Calm Mind, Baton Pass, Agility, Psychic
Gorebyss: Iron Defense, Calm Mind/Amnesia, Agility/Surf/Psychic, Baton Pass

I need a STAB'ed Psychic if he throws in a poison or fighting. However, if I need a good baton-passer, i think Gorebyss > Girafarig.
I'd like a spinner (in case of spikes, leech seed, etc.). But, Girafarig has Wish.

What you might want to ask yourself is:
Which is more important, P-Passer or B-Passer?
If B-Passer, which is more important, STAB'ed Psychic or better physical defense?
If P-Passer, which is more important, getting in another p-passing move or incorporating another battle role?

tl;dr

if this is an ingame friendly match then there really is no point doing any competitive **** apart from the movesets, www.smogon.com will give you good sets for any pokemon

No, it is competitive.

Its through the link, though. And, I just found out that his brother is joining in, too. He's using Swampert (Sceptile should deal w/ it) an Armaldo, for sure.
Please, I do need help. coordinating my team, I mean. Movesets by a site are good, but making a team of 6 pokemon that work well together is the hard part.

Btw, gl trying to stop anything with a special attack w/o Blissey, Snorlax, or Regice to aid you.

anyways, Substitute > Safeguard for Sceptile, though, it CAN work. >_>

It's a shame that you can't rebreed since Crunch would be a fine option for Manectric instead of Roar. :/

To chaos: Absense of HP was to prevent the use of Cheating Devices for perfect DVs for the Type and damage. And, while I agreed on no Nature/Secret Power, it was not me who thought it up.

To chaos952: These rules are to disallow ubers, border ubers, etc. According to smogon, Wynaut and Wobbuffet, while NOT legendaries, are Ubers.

To leafgreen386: What about Walrein, and Torkoal as walls?

To SapphireL: I haven't bred or locked anyone into place, really (except Hariyama w/ Substitute). I haven't used the tutors or single tms, YET, so the sub can go to whoever. As for the sceptile comment, I was thinking of sub-seeding, but if he's a sweeper, I'd rather have Crunch/? than Substitute/LeechSeed.

To Shiron: Thanx for letting me know what to put in my signature. I didn't know that it was like only 30% of Serebii that refused to use Legendaries (let alone Ubers). And, I'm no noob, I've been on NetBattle. But I can't get a good enough connection for a server.

Also to Shiron: Quick thingys on the team Rate...
1.) I thought modest, but I heard from others TIMID like 1000 times.
2.) Why T-punch? I was thinking of it, but then thought that status ailments would screw him up.

3.) Is paralysis support > power?

4.) Do I lead off w/ Manectric and T-wave the entire team via pseudo-hazing or try and sweep before he sets up? The sub-tutor IS STILL AVAILABLE. I got the Substitute onto Hariyama from my friend already.

lol okay, let's ban a Normal-type attack (Secret Power) and another attack that nobody uses (Nature Power).

Wobbuffet is uber, but Wynaut isn't.

why is super power allowed if nature/secret and hidden powers are not allowed?

While super power does 150 power, it is not banned. Here are the reasons:
1.) The only pokemon who can get it legally are the regis, deoxys, nidoqueen, and smeargle, all of which are banned!
2.) It lowers physical attack and physical defense.

Ancient Power is not banned because it is a rock move that has a slight chance of upping all stats. If it is banned, Silver Wind should also be banned.

Look at my post to chaos @ 3:59 am today. I said no hp, but only agreed to the no nature power/secret power.

1modest works for pokemon who dont have phisical atk moves.

2Thunderpunch is to get rid of those flyers.

3what do you mean by that

4whatever works for you its your team not mine

5 I sorta thought a torkal wall instead of an exploder

6same as #4 i would go with that but its your desision.
