I'm new to the TCG.

I'm new to the TCG so does anybody have any advice on what cards I should put into a fire/water/grass deck?

Well, welcome to the TCG community, first of all.

If you're interested in Fire, Water, and Grass-types, I'd buy a couple of preconstructed decks first. Most people say they're rubbish, but for someone like yourself they're great. I started off with 'em.

I think in your position I'd buy the James theme deck from Team Rocket Returns - Water and Grass, and also Lightning. Or, there's Water, Fire and Lightning, in the Jetstream theme deck (Deoxys).

I can help you further, just post some of your Fire/Water/Grass cards you own and I'll see if I can help you with anything.

If you've any questions, check this out.

or something
There aren't really any good fire/grass decks, but for just water/fire, Ludicargo works.

3 Plusle DX
1 Jirachi DX
3 Lotad DX35
1 Lombre DX33
1 Lombre DX34
3 Ludicolo DX10
2 Slugma DX74
2 Magcargo DX20
2 Vulpix HL
2 Ninetails HL

4 Celio's Network
3 Steven's Advice
2 Copycat
2 Rocket's Admin.
4 Battle Frontier
3 Rare Candy
1 Mr. Briney's Compassion
1 Ancient Technical Machine Rock
3 Swoop! Teleporter

4 Water Energy
2 Fire Energy
3 Rainbow Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy
2 Heal Energy
2 Scramble Energy

Feel free to change the ninetales to Rhydon HL, Grumpig DX, Marowak FRLG, Lanturn HL, Banette ex, or any other well-damaging stage 1, really. Change the fires to the energy the stage 1 needs, and if it's an ex, take off 1 double rainbow energy for a regular Rainbow energy.

That is a good deck, but it might be some time before Hitokiri Bottosai can use it. Plus it's a very, very professional deck.

I dunno lol
I'd say to possibly take out your fire-types and Groudon EX due to a lack of energy support for them. Pelipper, Breloom, Marshtomp, and Swampert should be in there if you have them, and get a LOT more energy. Good decks have around 20 energy (mine have more :D), and you definitely need more water energy in this setup.

The trainers in your deck are very basic; try to use anything else if you have them.

That's great that you're new to the TCG and all, but methinks that last post should go into the rate my deck section.

Anywho, keep at the TCG, and I hope you'll find it fun. I hope you can go to prerelease parties too. :D

True. But when making a professional deck (which should be after, say, at least six months of playing), any more than 16 Energy cards will kill the deck.

Sadly I don't have very many cards to make a deck... :(

Well, if you don't have many cards, be sure to get a theme deck. The Floodrush one released recently could work quite nicely with your deck, and it also has 11 water energies. Yay.

If you want to decide on a theme deck to buy, look here:

...to see a list of cards in each one.

I hope I helped. :)

Ok thanks. I might get both of them and mix the cards to make my own deck.
