In-game trades...

Does anyone actually do these in-game trades? I plan to do them after the game is finished. When do you do these trades, if you do? Are the traded pokemon helpful to you?
By all means, discuss.

I do the ingame trades to fill the dex, like for farfetch'd and such. They dont really help me, just sit in my boxes. I do them as soon as i can, to get them out of the way.

I do the ingame trades usually just for fun or out of sheer bordem, and sometimes to fill the dex. I don't usually use the ingame trade pokemon, as most of them are pretty bad. The only ones i can recall actually using was machamp on yellow and aerodactyl on gold version. I think they should offer better pokemon for trades ingame.

I did it once, but only once. That was when I was playing fire red. I traded an Abra for Mr. Mime. It proved to be a very good move. Mr. Mime gained so many experience points like heck.

Oh yeah, i do them, as i feel like i've truely completed apart of the game, and to have my own little 'crew or gang' of other trainer's pokemon.

I did the Mr. Mime, Lickitung, Jynx, and Farfetch'd trades to fill my dex.

my farfech'd is very strong, i can use it to beat te E4(elite four) but i prefer my charizard lv100 and my togetic lv74....

Hey there is a girl offering to trade a Nidoran (female) in the underground tunner (FRLG from cerulean to vermilion) I Gave her a Nidoran (male) and when I put the Nidoran(Female) in my box, I realized that it was holding a Tinymushroom!!!

Yup, mostly just for the Pokedex. However, on my Leaf Green file I've got a level 67 Farfetched. While I did drop it from my team, false swipe is pretty useful for catching weaker pokemon.
