In-game trades...

Does anyone actually do these in-game trades? I plan to do them after the game is finished. When do you do these trades, if you do? Are the traded pokemon helpful to you?
By all means, discuss.

The only one I remember doing was Skitty for Meowth. My favorite Pokemon is Meowth so of course I had to do it.

I do all of 'em because the mails they're holding are adorable. :B I don't use the Pokemon though, because I like giving them my own nicknames.

IMO, those in-game trades are pretty useless. You cant even softreset for a prefered nature or a shiny one..... And most of the times their nicknames suck. Maybe a good reason for a trade would be, if you dont want to catch the offered Pokemon and already have the needed trade-pokemon in your box.

Whuh? I do not think you understood my post that well. I don't need help, i was only asking if you find them useful and would you do them all when you finished your game (eg. beat the elite four, or the champion)

i only like using pokemon that are mine or my friends' so I never bother with the in-game trades

People might find them useful if they want pokemon to grow faster, and they have no one to trade with.

The only in-game trades that are worth doing are the ones in FRLG, so I've never done any of the RSE ones. I can barely even remember what they are.

maybe peolpe could trade you more pokemon like starters from old games or the new wons for rare pokemon. I think they should give you rare pokemon to I don't want to trade a good pokemon for of I could of just caught myself.

I do the in-game trades for the mail. I like how the mail looks.

In-game trades help increase your Pokedex,and allows you to get a new pokemon to raise.

i agree with super. there should be trades for starters from other games, but it should come at a HUGE cost, like really rare pokemon, or a specific item, or you have to complete a task and then trade an elusive pokemon native to the Region. just my opinion, don't worry about it to much.

I do them, simply because I like doing everything in the game. And it's fun sorta, and gives you something to do. And it allows you to obtain some pokemon without having to go hunting for it in the wild. It's convenient (Sorry about my spelling) for lazy people like me!

The pokemon themselves are pretty useless, so I just let them rot their brains out in the pc box. I like getting the mail from them, though.

Oh, and trading ingame gives you more pokemon with different ID numbers, so you have a better chance at winning the lottery.

I never do them... well, not the R/S/E ones anyway. Like someone has already said, the ones on FR/LG are better.

Oh yeah, i do them, as i feel like i've truely completed apart of the game, and to have my own little 'crew or gang' of other trainer's pokemon.
