in-game trading cards

I'm not sure this is a gameplay idea. Sorry if it is.

I think there should be "cards" in diamond/pearl. These cards are displayed next to your pokemon's hp, name. etc. There would be at least one card for each pokemon. Kind of like a display pic. A pokemon could only have the display pic. of itself, its evolution, or its pre-evolution. It would have a lot of depth. For example:

Let's say a pokemon has the picture of its evolution. Next time it goes into battle, it would evolve!

If a pokemon is left at a daycare with a pic of its pre evolution, it would breed it instead of a baby version of itself.

There could be more than one for the same pokemon. A pikachu could have a display pic of him smiling, while another one could have him doing a thundershock. If you equip the ladder choice, the babies it breeds may have a hasty nature or something.

It would make a good addition to the games, as you would be able to trade among your friends, or in-game. Your opinion on this?

From what I understood about your idea, this seems like too much of a hassle for players to handle. Pokemon has never been a terribly hard game to play, and by implementing this, such simplicity will have essentially been shattered. Heck, not even I can totally grasp for what you are aiming with this idea.

I'm not sure I get this either... when you look at the line up, there isn't enough space to display all this... do you mean it will sho on the bottom screen when you select that pokemon?
