Both share a ground weakness so i'm asking for suggestions to fill in that weakness.

I'm thinking Vaporeon? Since Vaporeon will be able to resist Metagross's Fire weakness too, along with taking physical hits (EQs and such) with ease.

Try a flying type, or something with Levitate. Possibilites include Dodrio, Ninjask, Shedinja, Flygon, Gengar... take your pic...

What about Ninjask? Use Swords Dance couple of times and then baton pass to T-Tar or Metagross.

EQ and Aerial Ace take care of it's weaknesses, Water-type attack for STAB, and the 4th attack for taking down the other little buggers.
