Of course, who's to say there's such thing as a colour blind pokemon?
What I mean by colour blind is only seeing thing's in "black and white", not
the metaphor.

If certain kind's of pokemon were colour blind, I would definitley think the one's based on animal's would mimic their real-life counterpart.

I don't know much on colour-blindness however, so feel free to correct my assumption's.

Pokemon that could be colour blind in my opinion: Tauros, Growlithe and other dog-like pokemon. Maybe some of the ancient pokemon too.

So which pokemon do you think could be colour blind?

Ture, since dogs are color-blind, Arcanine, Houndour, Houndoom, and the other dogs that I forgot. Zubat can't see, since it has no eyes. Sableye and some ghost-types might be color-blind.

Rapidash and Ponyta probably see things in shades of green and tinted green. Scientists believe that's how horses see the world, but they can see bright colors like red and orange, except to them, it has a green tint to them.

Probably Evee because of its colorations.

The cats. Supposedly cats see in black and white too.

Dark pokemon probably see in green or red, like night vision. I mean if they prefer to come out in the night time when everything is dark then they don't really need to see in color.

I know that Tauros, Electabuzz, and Scyther are enraged by red, would that have anything to do with being color blind?
I would think Golbat and Crobat would have less than perfect sight due to their sudden appearance of eyes upon evolution.
I also think that bugs would be color blind, although that is pure theory based on no factual evidence.

That's right. Electabuzz and Scyther see in red. It's been proven on an episode of pokemon. But Tauros? I don't know about him. Maybe.

Yes, because Tauros is a bull, and bull are enraged by red. But there is nothing said about them three seeing only in red, but there was an episode saying that they become enreaged in red. There is a difference.

I would think stuff like Metagross would sense heat like snakes do. That means Ekans, Arbok, and Seviper as well.

I think Bulls being enraged by red isn't necessarily true. I think that's just an old myth like cats having nine lives. I watch bull riding all the time and lots of the cowboys and bullfighters out there are wearing red. You'd think as professionals they wouldn't wear red because they would know better especially the cowboys. When they fall off they definitely don't want the horns. Although, this is pokemon and they like to base a lot of their pokemon off myths and legends so Tauros could be enraged by red.

Actually I remember hearing that the smell of blood(which is red) is what enrages bulls not the actual color red.

Pokémon with primitive eyes, and most of the non-predatory Pokémon who wouldn't need to have the acute colored vision.

Dogs can actually see in some color. Bright colors, no, but they can see dull colors like browns and deep reds as well as we can. Hm.. Maybe Ditto would only see in black and white though.

I remembered that bulls only attack things that move. Why do you think bulls are "dumb" enough to attack the cloth the matador waves instead of the freakin matador himself?

Would a pokemon's speed be a factor to their eyesight? Doduo and Dodrio run fast, so would their vision get blurry?

Let's not even get to Unknown...

I guess Relicanth can be blind. They can use their sense of scent to see.

Pokemon that live in deserts or underground might not be used to bright light, so they could be colorblind. Cacturn and Lileep make an exception.

You guys remember Venonat?

I'm not sure about big-eyed pokemon. Venemoth, Butterfree...

I think that's it...

I think that maybe Ralts can be a bit blind at first because its eyes are undeveloped but when it evolves into a Kirlia it gains the ability to see clearly. Also bug pokemon that appear to have compound eyes like maybe Butterfree, Beedrill, and Venonat's eyes since they could be compound things may appear blurry to them.

If Tauros was mad at red then Ash would get chang by Tauros all the time and Tauros are more like buffelors sorry if I misspell.
